Very disappointing Powell never a wing back, Benson to much of a luxury player, think Matt has got it wrong tonight. We had a great opportunity against a side who are struggling, low in confidence and we handed it to them on a plate instead of picking our strongest side.

They're not playing like a side low in confidence. They had a good result in the cup at the weekend.

Seems like a game where things just aren't going for us. Caught cold early on. Dawson caught through his legs but also made a couple of characteristic saves. Defence looked very wobbly as they threw men forward.

Shame about the start as their defence was very shaky at first, but grew in confidence as they went further ahead, bad mistake from Spence and then quite fortunate deflection from both the cross and then again in the finish leads me to think this is going to be a long night. Credit to us, we played some great passing football and created a couple of great chances, Spence would have been expecting to score that, and Douglas very unlucky off the post.

And then I'd not depressed enough already, our biggest quality player with the ball, who was beginning to make me think he could have put his years off injury problems behind him...suddenly hadn't and that's the last well enjoy of him until spring I'd imagine. Shame as he is a joy to watch playing with Gore and Spance behind him.

We seem to have a problem with sides that come at us with speed and accurate passing.

Too many avoidable simple mistakes with passes going astray. But we have created good opportunities and hit the post.

Bit of a cliche, but the next goal...

If James is off with a concussion problem does that mean he has to sit out the next game?
