I think thats a bit blinkered tbh. He was unable to motivate a team that was in 10th and finished bottom after he lost 5 games in a row. He took us up from the worst championship in years but that was the absolute bare minimum required. Yes he got us 4th but herein lies the problem. Hes tried to replicate that success with the current crop of players, but failed spectacularly. Rather than realise this, hes just stubbornly stuck to his guns and played the only system he's interested in whether it works or not, and it doesn't.

That yesterday was absolutely stinking and not anywhere close to good enough. He was to blame for his shyte formation that hasn't worked against killie all season but he somehow thought that would turn out differently, absolutely schooled once more.

Agree TTT. Mistakes have clearly been made this season recruitment wise JG aware of it too. Yes we struggle with the formation that we have been playing and that?s on JG but we go 4 at the back we don?t get the best out of ferry and imo Luca. He set up this season believing he had the players to play this formation and we don?t. At the start of the season I thought we did too.

He can?t legislate for the basic mistakes the defence and keepers have continued to make.

Saturday was prime example. 3 goals from 3 mistakes. I?ve been shouting for Sam to start and he make as massive mistake (apart from which he played well) which cost us and kerz there is a player there but he also makes at least 1 mistake per game. Saturday no different.

JG deserves another season and if he continues to make the same mistakes after another window then I?ll be the first to shout for him to go.

Its not just cutting out mistakes its also the style of football that needs to change. This is borne out by the stats. We are bottom of the league for passing and possession.

And we are narrowly behind the fun in 2nd place for shots against us.

No wonder we are a team that loses goals from mistakes at the back. We play the ball long, we allow the opposition to have the ball and give the opposition opportunities on goal. It figures that we are then exposed more than other teams to volume of opportunities to make mistakes.

The Aberdeen game at Pittodrie a prime example. We just sat back and allowed a poor Aberdeen to dominate, we scored a breakaway goal then came the inevitable one mistake which gave them a goal after allowing them to play much of the game in our defensive third. We then for last 15 minutes decided to start playing and Aberdeen were no longer a threat. They were there for the taking that day but tactics blew it.

it seems this has been a season of missed opportunities so many games we didn't start playing until late in the game when we were behind or games winning and we sit back. This is tactics not bad luck. Next season for me is not just about where we finish in the league. We need to play better football not only because it is easier on the eye it might just win us more games.

You know something is going right when folk start moaning about the style of football.

Going right? What have we got right? We are finishing in bottom 6 (below the clubs stated aims for the season) and nowhere to be seen again in cup competitions. its not been a terrible season but not a great one either and it is perfectly valid to look at the reasons why. And the stats give a clue.

We give too much possession to the opposition, we give them too many opportunity to score and the football is turgid at times. its no coincidence that the 6 teams that have most possession and the least shots at goal against them are the top 6 i.e.better football means more points. If you think none of these things matter or worth discussing then accept the mediocrity. We could have done so much better this season with a bit more positive tactics and imposing ourselves on the game.

I think we've had an ok season, nothing special but nothing that bad either.

SCH had a brainfart, the type tat we all have. i do believe he is an arrogant player, but i welcome that.

His error was compounded by the fact that even though the blind could see the short pass the keeper still pretended to kick at it.

A real keeper would have tried to fall on the ball...............

I think the signings we have made for next season, seem to be positive. My only concern will be if we don't strengthen in the areas that we should have strengthened in January..GK, CB and CF. If Jim doesn't see these as priorities...then I think he's done for!

Bit of a stretch at the least. People are complaining because we are going backwards under a manager who rigidly sticks to a failing system and we are getting humbled by teams like Kilmarnock time and time again under him. He refuses any responsibility and blames the players even though he gets it tactically wrong most weeks. Going right? Honestly?

If we go behind how many times have we come back to win a game this season? From winning positions we have thrown away the lead how many times? I've seen 4231 433 mentioned and I'll throw in 442 & 451. Formations that might help us keep the back door shut and give the opposition manager and players something else to think about as we are predictable and offer nothing when behind or after surrendering a lead.

KK is a footballer who thinks he is better than he really is. Saying that bigger clubs are after him when playing for us, not a player I want signed on a longer deal. I want a centre-half that does his talking on the pitch. Not one that is flat footed, turns his back on shots and rolls about like he has been injured badly.
