First, please note that I’ll have the fixtures for the Easter weekend up on Tuesday but they’ll be for the Easter Monday games, not Friday. Then it’ll be back to normal.

Second, if you haven’t already please have a shufti at the Next season’s predictocomp proposal thread which I’ve bumped for you and let me have any ideas or comments. It’s in all our interests.

Anyway, a mixed week in which Tricky and Claw top-scored with 7s, so well done to them. Southblue only got 1 so the average was a disappointing 4.3, quite a lot of which came from correct scores. Table’s pretty much the same and there’s only 4 weeks to go. I’m already holding £80 for the winner; I wonder who it’ll be!

Tricky is chasing me hard now and his "system" based approach (12 home wins with 6 being 1-0) is working surprisingly well this season.

This has possibly been helped by the fact that, since Griff stopped hand picking the matches, the number of home wins has increased significantly.

So far 199 (46%) of the Predictocomp games have been home wins and of those 55 (27.6%) have finished 1-0.

Last season only 37% of games were home wins.

It will be interesting to see whether the percentage of home wins reduces again next season if/when Griff starts "hand-picking" the games again.

My £20 contribution to the winner's prize will be winging its way towards your bank account in the next couple of days Griff, so that should round the prize money up to a tidy £100.

If he's reading this (we know he is) it's still not too late for "Tory Boy" Psaw to ease his conscience and send you the £20 he reneged on last season.
