A show boater or someone who often tries the unexpected to create something?

    I'll go for the latter.

As I keep saying, and falling on deaf ears, the two owners are paying about £3m/year for a very expensive season ticket, but it is their hobby. Just because £3m sounds a lot to you (and most of us) it is not a lot for those that are rich.

    Stop panicking.
I am not panicking. Sustainable doesn't mean that to me and I doubt Notts will ever be very sustainable in terms of what I mean like most clubs. However we have good owners with a plan and that my friend is enough for me.

It is possible that they don't want to make a profit - they could be using the club to offset tax liabilities elsewhere. That could be sustainably in their eyes.

At the fans forum our CEO said we weren’t that far off from being sustainable, maybe a year of which makes sense as they said we had underspent in the summer and crowds were over what we had budgeted for. The bit we’re missing is we haven’t made anything of note on players yet but obviously that could change.

I thought rather than showboating they were trying to make things happen. There were a couple of times when I thought Didzy, in particular, made a pass / flick on expecting someone to be in the space or moving into the space, but they weren't. Is this Didzy, or Jones / Crowley's (who I think it was that he was expecting to be there) fault, or just a function of a new manager tweaking systems and patterns. I suspect it's the latter as everything seemed slightly hesitant.

The fact that Sanderson has made some appearances suggests a striker is needed.
It’s a huge risk if no new striker is bought in. If Macca picks up any injury we are left with Didzy, Sanderson and Morias as our options.
Would you be comfortable with it that?
If Macca gets injured it will be an enormous blow, obviously. I’d love us to sign another striker but what ‘quality’ striker is going to come and compete with Langstaff for one position.
As I said, it’s much more probable we’d sign someone to compete with Didsy and Crowley and move Didsy up top if Langstaff got injured.

It was far from his best game, but at least he tried things.

It does not matter what it means to you but even DownUnder the defintion surely remains the same "able to be maintained at a certain rate or level". If they'd meant profitable they would have said "profitable".

Most clubs as I understand it, outside of the top two divisions, are not profitable and rely on owners with deep pockets. If you've got information to the contrary I'd be please to see it.

Your last sentence is however correct.
