A MAN who claims all politicians are crooks and liars trusts them implicitly if they are right-wing, it has emerged.

IT manager Martin Bishop’s cynicism about politicians magically disappears if they share his views on issues like immigration, lazy public sector workers and the EU being a sort of mafia.

Bishop said: “The promises they make aren’t worth a bloody thing. The sooner we get out of Europe and become a successful, sovereign nation leading the world again, the better.

“They’ve all got their snouts in the trough, apart from businessmen like Trump who you can trust in power because of all the money they’ve made in the private sector.

“People say the stuff about Turkey joining the EU and the £350 million for the NHS wasn’t true, but it wasn’t meant to be taken literally. It was more of a metaphor.

“Every single one of them is nothing but a filthy, dirty liar. Thank God we’ve got good men like Nigel keeping them honest.”

You have to love those quotes though, don't you? The man, rightly, slated politicians and then says Trump and Farage are, somehow, different, better. Thank you Martin Bishop for one of the best laughs I've had this year so far. You're a gem lad.

    Nice little find Swale.

Can I throw in my two pennyworth, some very interesting arguments brought upon this topic. However the way I see it is that the people of this country have been betrayed by both the Tories and Labour and all those muppets in Westminster so I and all members of my family will be voting for Brexit. For all those harking on about a 2ed vote it will be on the 23rd of May, lets see who comes out on top.

Good luck in the playoffs, beat dirty Leeds.

Lol...a Millwall fan calling Leeds ‘dirty’...pot, kettle and black springs to mind...but thanks anyway.

More seriously...so you feel let down, ‘betrayed’ even, by the ‘muppets in Westminster’. Who doesn’t?
But how does that lead you and yours to voting for the Brexit Party?
No matter how inadequate many, not all, of the current crop of MP’s are, how is leaving the EU, alienating ourselves from our neighbours and putting our trust in the disingenuous and opportunist Nigel - I’m doing very nicely out of Brexit thank you - Farage even begin to help?

rA - if you come at it from the perspective that Claw may have been pro brexit all along, its a simple reason for voting for Brexit party. I can understand how a remainer would not do it though.

How do you know a politician is lying - his lips are moving. How do you know a politician is dead - he stops lying (unless he produces an posthumous autobiography)

It's from one of those satire sites such as Newsthump, not real quotes.

I know that Farage is not everyone's cup of tea but at least he stands up for our country, not like terrorist loving commie Corbyn or insipid, dishonest May. The reason why I am voting for Brexit is because of the EU's plan for an EU army, as a veteran I shudder at the thought of Brussel's having any control over our Armed forces.

Oh c’mon Claw...Corbyn may be many things and I’m no great fan of his, but ‘terrorist loving commie’ is just absurd.

I’ll bow to your greater knowledge as far as service in the armed forces is concerned and I honestly don’t know enough about the rights and wrongs of having an EU army...but surely, as one of the bigger players within the EU, we’re better off remaining in it and making our voice heard about whatever plans there may be rather than running away. Besides, what about all the other issues involved in Brexit and what we might stand to lose?

As regards Farage...ask yourself if he ‘stands up for our country’ if and when his NHS plans ever come to fruition...that’s if he still stands by what he said a while ago...about the same time as he announced he was ‘done with Party politics’.

Except it isn't a 2nd referendum and you can't vote for Brexit. Sure you can vote for a right wing foreign funded right wing organisation fronted by that "man of the people" (otherwise a well paid puppet for those wealthy elites for whom Brexit will be a rich earner, but to do that one would assume either your wealthy or not very bright!

Eh no he doesn't he stands up for those wealthy funders of his who will love being able to rip off and exploit the "common man" whislt making more millions!

Our armed forces? Have you looked at our military capability lately, we don't have the capability to do anything significant on our own, so its either join with NATO, the USA or our european friends. The days when Britain was a major military power are long gone!

Plus as things stand we have a veto of being involved in any european army that may or may not evolve, so not really a point to you voting Brexit!

Cooperation between countries leads to a more peaceful world, jingoistic nationalism leads to the exact opposite - a look at history from WW" onwards will show that even when we did have a significant military capability, we needed others help to win major conflicts , we couldn't even wage a conflict like the falklands these days!
