As Maynard gone yet ? You have sat too long here for any good you have been doing. Depart, I say, and let us have done with you. In the name of God, go.?
We should be holding a vigil for the return of the pep.

I'm really concerned you could be right. I'm not a Maynard "hater" because I have never doubted his commitment to the job, but I am utterly convinced that if he stays our only direction will be downwards.

Which Bros are you, Chris or Alex??
He's a man of mediocrity, that's not a bad thing in life but I want better than that to manage our club.
    He's a dead man walking

This is the first real test of the owners engagement with fans. Last year they used stats to back Maynard, we were told promotion was the aim.

We have neither been promoted or played interesting football with an appalling home record to boot. There is no stat that redeems him this year, he's lost the fans if he ever had them in the first place. It was always going to be difficult replacing Luke Williams, but to turn an exciting and attacking team into whatever it is we are now should be a criminal offense

I've got no problem with the owners' engagement with the fans. They communicate regularly enough, but they don't allow their decisions be dictated by keyboard warriors on message boards seeking to force them in a particular direction. I say that recognising that I'm a keyboard warrior myself!

As I said in another post yesterday, the owners have plenty of credit in the bank as far as I'm concerned after all they've one for the club since they took over, and this season's perceived failure has still seen us finish in our highest position in the Football League since the Kevin Nolan days, so everything has to be seen in perspective.

I agree with you that I've seen little from Stuart Maynard to convince me that he can turn us back into the fast-paced, attractive, attacking team we saw under Luke Williams, and being honest if it was announced over the summer that Luke was coming back then I would personally look forward to next season a hell of a lot more, having now purchased my season ticket.

That said, I respect the right of the owners to do what they think is right on the coaching and signings front, because overall they have moved the club forward long way from the mess they inherited. I don't consider myself to be a happy clapper or a gloomster, but I can see that the careful, thoughtful, consistent approach of the current regime has produced more stability and steady progress over the past few years than any other owner since the Pavis days.

The owners will take into account that we've made the semi finals despite not having a full squad all season and no coaching staff for a quarter of the season, and think we'll keep with him and get some players in and the coaching staff. And see how we do

This is the likely answer and it's probably what I'd do if I owned notts.

We need some fresh faces in the squad, we need our newbies to continue to develop, we need better depth, and SM needs a loud, charismatic assistant head coach (and maybe more coaching staff).

Even without all of that, better luck with injuries would have seen us up this season. I can't look at these results and say the strategy isn't working. The strategy is working, just need to adjust our application of it.
