sinkov, surely you don't think that politicians would lie and try to mislead us about things ------do you?

The masks are making a comeback on the streets of Ashington, although to be honest, they never completely went away.
I am still waiting to be offered my first smallpox test but they seem unwilling because I do not have symptoms ---ah well.

Happy New Year to you both.

Happy New Year to you both as well Sub. Just talking about masks reminds me of last winter when a few NHS Trusts started banning visitors again. The reason given was that the visitors were bringing Covid onto the wards. At the time no one was allowed into a hospital unless they were wearing a mask. The logical conclusion that must be drawn then is that masks don't work, and the NHS know they don't work. So why is there a clamour for their re-introduction ?

In order to create a visible demarcation between us and them, good and evil, those who will comply and those who will resist.

Have any of you heard of the band 5 times august who sang about all this ?

Actually pretty good tunes as well as a serious message. I think they did a full album on it 10 or 11 songs

    An example is here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USMBS7u8Bes

    Really good album IMO

Keep them all coming folks, it's very comforting that many will die from worrying about what may or may not happen to them.
With any luck they will all stay at home to avoid possible problems so that the roads will be much quieter when the railways are on strike and the shops will be much quieter for those of us who can be bothered to do our own food shopping instead of having it delivered.
It certainly doesn't take much to put the wind up folk.

Edited to say that there is bugger all you can do about it so why worry?

"Now it's no beds, no operations and lie on a gurney in A & E and die."

Just another winter's day in our 'envy of the world' NHS. Should have been privatised years ago, about the only thing St Margaret got wrong, for once in her life she listened to Lefties, big mistake Maggie.

Lockdowns didn't save a single life, net. If the country had carried on as usual and got the natural immunity early, the impact would have been less and the entire COVID episode would be in the rear-view mirror. Sweden refused to lock down and did better than most.

Exactly. It's good to watch senator Rand Paul having Fauci squirm. Brought up a video of Fauci from 20 years ago of him saying Natural Immunity is THE BEST IMMUNITY. To the bull **** he's spouting now. Was great to see

Just a shame a lot more people don't realise what's going on. In a few weeks we will be seeing loads and loads wearing masks. I will try and bite my tongue as long as I can.
