I'm surprised he has not had a managerial job much sooner. I Hope it goes well for him, great guy and solid defender.. He always seemed to be the scapegoat regardless of who was the manager, but none of them could keep him out...

Steady Eddy made it so clear that having a player who performs at 7/10 every single game is way better than having one who blows hot and cold. One of the most dependable Notts players this century and a great servant for the club. Hope he goes on to have a successful career in coaching or management.

Not surprised he’s got a L2 gig. Nice little bit of narrative too, with us having signed Platt.

That seems to be the thing at Notts, asking players to do what they cant do. Nemane and Jones for example..

I don’t think either are mutually exclusive. I posted at the end of the season that Baldwin was asked to do far too much in that middle centre back role.

I’d actually be amazed if you could find anyone in L2 capable of doing that role consistently well, over a whole season. Definitely think there’s a good defender in there.
