I keep logging on hoping to see some new faces being announced but it’s getting late in the day now. Are we done? Unable to attract the people we wanted? The club have made no secret about not just signing players for the sake of it….what we see now may be all we get. It’s not been a great Christmas and new year for us really.

Mark Stallard was suggesting we get Troy Deeney in last night on the Magpie Circle. He'd certainly have a point to prove.

I would actually say yes, would give us another dimension up front, a big bully who would ruffle feathers, long balls into the box if we get desperate 😉

I find some of the negativity on here a little depressing.We are work in progress and Rome was not built in a day and if i can think of any more cliches i will include them.We are doing ok ,early season results gave people ridiculous expectations.I say stick with the squad we have and if its league 2 next season ,so be it.

I don't think it's negative to expect the club to recruit in areas they identified as being deficient at the fans forum, I don't think we've replaced Palmer yet, we have cover for Bostock though which is baffling

We've been waiting for a solid defence ever since Trew promised a new back 4 after a pre-season thrashing by Grimsby.

That's the spirit, lets just totally give up on promotion, no point any of us going for the rest of the season is there with that attitude.
