No we don’t, GP. Takes two and I’m not playing, other than to say, if AF really can’t remember his tall stories about out of date passports and flags (in Etwall?) being exposed, by his own eventual admission, as grossly exaggerated, then he has a problem, because I’m sure everyone else can.
Imo, he’s also been corrected on many occasions via Swale’s better informed accounts, however I accept that’s just my interpretation. Imo also, Sith’s comments about the impact of the younger vote in Caerphilly were well founded and valid.
Either way, I’m not going to enter into an argument which is boringly repetitive and futile and will only lead to others being pissed off and the two of us being justifiably chastised by mac.

I doubt they would, Sith, but I agree…an atrocious, irresponsible and, above all, unbelievably stupid comment which I note she has since been falling over herself to apologise for.

People apologise for mistakes. This was no mistake, it was an ill judged remark which, as you imply, exposed her for the racist she is.

Can you imagine how much media coverage it would get if it was say Angela Rayner who had said it?

Likewise with Farages openly misogynistic attitude last weekly if it had been starmer.

Really rather stupid comments but would be interesting to see how the numbers stack up. I can just about remember in the 60's seeing only white faces in TV advertising which was also unrepresentative of a then evolving diverse community. I don't recall any furore when that disconnect was pointed out. But I was only ickle.

All ethnicities should be proportionately represented in wider society, and pulling out the race card when it is a white person complaining is equally wrong. I don't know the stats and therefore whether her comments were mathematically accurate, but she at least has the right to question it.

I don't have an issue with intelligently articulated arguments. To be honest i don't really watch adverts and even if i did i can't imagine a disproportionate number of black, white, Asian characters riling me up that much.

But if the numbers are disproportionate then it's how you approach the argument that's key.

Id say that rules out 95% of existing MP's (I hate to mention Dianna Abbot again), but I agree - it's not always what you say but how you say it that offends.
