Another moral of the story is people will always talk about things. What has been said on here has probably been said in various forms by many thousands of people across the city (and beyond). The posters on this site are not unique, they are probably a fair cross section of the support base and as such will be reflecting what the support base feels (in general).

Fine to talk and speculate that's natural but remembering it was nothing pure speculation would have been helpful. It was never more than just a throw away post match comment by an ex player at that club.

The panicking from some was unnecessary especially when it was linked to what Wikipedia was edited to and the betting odds. Very naive if you still fall for that old trick.

Highest Notts crowds in 30 odd years and we've never been so poorly served by the local press, ever.
It was mentioned by Paul Mace last night that Notts don't have a NEP reporter, surely that isn't right.

Yet another moral of the story is that there's only one thing worse than having your popular, progressive and successful manager being linked to other jobs further up the league pyramid, and that's not having a popular, progressive and successful manager.

Yeah, they made the last one redundant and now just have a desk reporter to parrot club media if they publish anything. I hope on every rise up, when they inevitably come crawling back we tell them to get lost

Not sure if it's been posted here but all but confirmed that it's Buckingham by various journo's including Radio Oxford who are obviously close to the club. Good luck for the rest of the season and enjoy all of this again when Warne gets the chop at Derby.

Possibly not in the scenario Oxfords first couple of choices didn’t happen, naturally they would work down a short list which LW could be on plus the club wouldn’t be fully aware of their intentions.
Agree though their not the great, lazy reporting at its best.

Ollie King, I think. He now files the match reports for the news agencies that you get on the BBC website.

The death of reputable local news coverage is a very depressing phenomenon - crazy to think that the local paper doesn’t have a Notts reporter. David Stapleton will be turning in his grave.

I think it was all but done Tuesday. A few on here wetting themselves because the bookies and fake news had Williams in the mix.
