Another great buzzard EM. Par for me.

It's been a tough March for me and on checking I'm 10 over for the month with just one buzzard, 2 birdies, 10 bogeys and 2 double bogeys.

Got me wondering why? Looked back to March 2022 just after I started Wordling and calculated I was 4 under for that month so I'm about 0.5 shots per day worse nowadays.

Was it easier back then, I had 12 buzzards in my first 80 attempts? Have I become more defensive, I had 1 fail in those first 80 games but only 7 more in the last 1450 so averaging streaks over 200.

Maybe it's just an age thing?

Interesting observations, CAM. I get the impression you?ve always played the game the hard way without resorting to supports like Wordl Words or word generators. Given that the supply of words is inevitably getting smaller every day (and notwithstanding the fact that the puzzle setters may have begun to recycle a few words) that must affect your scoring stats year on year.

I guess not using past Wordles or word generators doesn't help CT but despite fading memory you would have thought having more Wordle experience than I did 4 years ago would help rather than hinder?

Maybe it's just luck Despite a poor start today, I had the word pattern nailed after 2 guesses but still took 3 more attempts and on checking afterwards, neither of my 3rd/4th words had been used before.
