We’ve been decent to very good at home, whilst not being competitive away from home. Fine lines
Our travels need to improve because with say one win and three draws and it’s a completely different outlook to the league table

Can’t see how any other Manager could have done better given the resources and injuries
We were always going to lose at Watford, it was the magnitude that’s disappointing

Changing Managers can make it a whole lot worse as Huddersfield and Birmingham have found out
Some of the names suggested on here such as Rowett and Eustace are just pipe dreams. I believe Gary Rowett has turned us down before so I can’t see that changing

I hope he stays and the Mail has even less credibility that its already tarnished image
I suppose we,ll know by lunchtime tomorrow

That's a good point, especially when you look at the list of possible replacements along with what they would have to work with.

However, a repeat of the SW/yesterday's performances is beyond reproach for both the management and players so if TS/MT need to sit down with any 'bad eggs' then that needs addressing immediately. Independent of what their contract says, anyone deemed not to be giving 100% to RUFC should be told to either change their attitude or allowed/asked to leave the club.

CAM, well on that premise, why has no one told Eaves to leave the club?

“I've brought in some of those players. It's not just on them, it's on me as well. But I'll be damned if anyone can do a better job with that group at this moment."

As usual MT comment is inaccurate 15 players out of the 30 players listed on theRotherham United website as first team squad are his, 4 of the other 15 are kids, so not some MT more than half. How arrogant to say nobody can do a better job than him at the moment, unbelievable. That is saying nobody else can motivate them better, make better team selections or tactical decisions or better in game decisions like the use of subs to correct the mistakes he made in the original selection. Anyway it is with the board now, I think it will be a financial decision based on can we afford to sack him, because they cannot be happy with what they are seeing away from home where we are as bad as PW first season at this level. I am amazed he says the board were delighted with last weeks draw against qpr we were not good in that game. If the board say he should stay then obviously we need to support the decision and hope things improve.

Because when a player has a 3 or 4 year contract saying he gets £x there is absolutely nothing the club can do about it if he is happy to sit on the subs bench and pick up his wages for the minimum effort.

The only options are sack him if he is guilty of a gross misconduct offence, unlikely to happen, or negotiate a settlement deal, unlikely to happen for less than the value of the remaining contract.

How about a Committee formed by the members of MM? There's a magnificent range of talents on here, a great understanding of the ethos of the club, a deep knowledge of tactics and team selection, keen eyes for potential transfer targets, financial acumen which would assist TS to spend his dosh, ground improvement specialists even catering experts - the list is endless. And to top it all, a general consensus on how the club should be run! What could possibly go wrong?
Don't be silly.. who needs a committee when we have Gru?

Tom Eaves may indeed be crap but I'm not sure there's any evidence that he's not prepared to put a shift in if asked. By all accounts of those at the SW/Watford game we have players who are blatantly being asked to but not doing so.

a123, yes I know all the permutations, my post was a TIC against Cam's

Eaves will simply do another Danny Schofield and see it all out unless TS and the board can pay up half his contract and another club is willing to pick up the other half so Eaves doesn't lose out but boy, has he been another Dexter Blackstock. Oh hang on, I forgot, Blackstock actually scored for us!

What are the other many other things that MT has said that are untrue? That’s a pretty bold statement to make

Addressing your next point, do you think any other Manager in this league could have produced better home performances than MT has given his relatively meagre resources and crippling injury list. I think it’s been impressive, what do you think?

Lastly you say it,s with the board now. What is, a copy of the Daily Mail?

CAM, there's a high probability you haven't seen all his cameo appearances as the TV doesn't follow a single player during a game. He's got to be worse than Gilbert Bos, at least he scored for 4 goals for us.
