I was happy with the starting team. All around me seemed happy to see the likes of Morrison, Sakho, Poyet, Valencia, Burke, Potts starting, mixed in with some first teamers.

    Not a hoof in sight.

Yet somehow it was all so slow and predictable - Morrison especially.

Are we suggesting Allardyce told them to play that way, to not break them down? He threw on 3 of our best players and they made little difference.

What team should he have played to "prioritise" the cup?
the team wasn't motivated enough to beat a poor division three side

that's it really, nothing else I can add

the manager firmly takes a large chunk of responsibility

i enjoyed lack of hoof compared to previous

i just wish it wasn't played at testimonial tempo ffs

    we have a decent squad

lot of money spent over his tenure

he couldn't motivate 11 of that squad to beat a poor third division side, at home, best part of a full house to boot

the fact that some think this is ok, is quite fu(king baffling and part of the reason fu(k all changes

    aim low, get low

    same sh1t, different day

EE - stick to children, clowns and being a stalking weirdo. good lad.

    seriously?

it's his £60k a week job NOT to perform as we did last night

what the fu(k else is he paid for?
Would you have picked a different team?
A premier league team gets caught out in a league cop opener against lower league opposition...shock, fu(king horror.

    read the first post weirdo

    all about lack of motivation

    team selection not mentioned

we probably will be 8th-12th come may ,pointless bet really but again, my beef is about quality of football generally over the last couple of years and last night, lack of motivation

if it is low priority, the club need to get a grip as I'm guessing near on 30,000 (unts expected better last night and be honest - cups like this are 100% our only chance of silverware

If it is low priority, then fine, but at least tell the team to play at a high tempo, have a real go, and dont worry. A lot of young kids there last night, who the board will be hoping to see at the OS. My 4 year old had his first game last night, and I think he would rather have had a juggling lesson, with coco the weirdo

Seems like perspective has done a bunk.
Whatever happened to that 'I'd rather lose playing football than suffer any more of FS' hoofball' attitude?
