Starting in Scotland, Kyle Vassell got Kilmarnock's first goal as they came back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Hibs.

In the Championship, Matt Crooks got a consolation for 'Boro as they lost 2-1 at Blackburn and unfortunately, despite only ever playing 5 games on loan to us Josh Koroma is an ex-Miller and was probably down as the least likely one to score against us today as Huddersfield ran out (or was it walked) 2-0 winners.

Tuesday September 19th

Mainly lower league action tonight. In League 1 both JCH and Kioso netted for Posh as they beat Cheltenham Town 3-0. In the National League, Will Grigg continued his good form scoring as Chesterfield eventually ran out 3-2 winners over FC Halifax Town despite throwing away a 2-0 lead.

Can't be bothered to trawl through all the EFL Trophy events looking for ex-Millers, especially with score lines like 7-1 and 0-9. I bet MT's glad he's not managing Exeter tonight as that performance makes our 6-1 loss at Stoke seem almost acceptable

Don’t know if mentioned before but Lionel Ainsworth is now plying his trade in National League South with Aveley and was sub in 4-0 win over King’s Lynn the other night. Ironically Aveley are also known as the Millers. Maybe we should twin with them!

Nice one! Not many players have collected as many clubs as Ainsworth has in his career. I can’t imagine how it must feel to have represented your country at all youth levels, and been seen as someone with so much promise, and then seen it fritter away over so many years.

Kevin Ellison is still playing at age 44 (no surprise really, he’ll probably still play using a walking stick) now at Runcorn utd.
