I don't have the details to hand but are you sticking to the contention that 7 points at Ne'er Day was as big and late as the gap got?

Seems rather obvious that Albert still touches a nerve. And Hearts did NOT recover, irrespective of who came in since.
Touches a nerve? Nae sh1t chief inspector. And Souness blew everybody out the water with his spending. You're in a minority of one to suggest otherwise. We finished 2nd and 3rd a few times and that was the best we could do against half the England team.

I've got time for him Danny, but he needs it dragged out him by the likes of you before he will post anything remotely negative about his club. A wee bit more honesty would be nice

to settle an argument, in 1986 hearts never ever had a substantial lead.

that is a myth, a myth i am about to back up with facts.

at the start of the season in 1985 hearts got off to a terrible start, celtic got off to a great start(good job really or we would have been feked for the title).

in october celtic started to drop points alarmingly while hearts started an unbeaten run of 33 games.

hearts over took celtic in january, but celtic also had played 4 fewer games, so despite hearts better currant form they were not significantly ahead taking into consideration celtics games in hand, however with currant form it looked like celtic would never recover the deficit of 9points. it was by all accounts not going to be celtics title even as far back as january.

by the time march came both hearts and celtic had dropped points and at the end of march hearts lead was substantial, but accounting for games in hand celtic had and if you consider that celtic would win all games in hand

Pogue's a good Celtic man, blue, and doesn't want to bad mouth his team in front of fans of other teams, which I can understand.

Whereas, when Lawwell is ripping the pish like he is now, then I have no problem saying so.

they did bottle it on the last day, but i dont think hearts expected celtic to win thier last 8 league games.

the game at love street was one of the best ever experiences. great end to a difficult season.

If he took this place so seriously he would never have told us the Jeff Winter story( ), Pogue likes a wind up blue, he's just more subtle than most on here.
