Sorry MoPo has gone, I really thought he might do something special at SFC.
Bit surprised that Spurs wanted him though. Not a lot of difference between the clubs (Saints and Spurs) last season in terms of league position, goals scored or goals conceded. Not sure what more they expect from the deal.
It's a shame that the bigger clubs can steal players and managers whenever they feel like it but difficult to see how clubs like Saints can do much about it. A gate of 30K ish is never going to generate enough cash to compete at the top level, so sales become the only way to try to balance the books. Imagine the side you might have had if not forced to sell the likes of Walcott, Bale, Oxo, and now Lallana, Shaw, plus whoever.
It will be difficult to continue forever to produce players of that quality, so ongoing survival in the Premier League with possible success in the cup competitions seems the likely ambition. Many will be happy with that, (I know I would be for Pompey), but there will c

Not much been made of the fact that he seems to have gone with the entire coaching team in tow, and the youth team management were all disbanded just the other week. If I read this correctly, it means a complete clean out of the coaches and management teams? We are not just looking for a new manager, but about 5 or 6 people.

Clean sweep - fresh start, if it will be good or bad for Saints remains to be seen.

I think I'm on record on here as describing all sons of Conquistadors as 'dirty South American scumbags'.

    I rest my case.

Come next Easter, if Spuds aren't pushing for a CL place, can we expect Jesus to be crucified, by the large Jewish following?

Or will MP cop all the flak alone?

Yesterdays news now as far as i'm concerned

My last thought on MP is that he won't be there more than 2 seasons, if he does well and gets them into the top 4 he'll be off to one of the big clubs in Spain and if he doesn't Levy will sack him

What a week of madness, the standard two steps forward and one back for our beloved club!

As for Poch, well hindsight is a wonderful thing but i think we all saw a change in his demeanor in the last few months so no real shock. Would i like to see him fail at Spuds, obviously yes but that aside no one can deny the change in style he introduced to our players which they can only benefit from long term, hopefully with us!!!

So onto the next man, lets hope we get it sorted sooner rather than later as we're going to need a couple of replacements in ready for pre-season to hit the ground running.

British based manager, nothing that floats my boat but likely to stay around until pushed or get a young up & coming foreigner in and we could we see ourselves in the same situation 18 months down the line?

Yakin, Koeman or Benitez for me...
