Byron will be their most skillfull player, but we didn't appreciate him.

Vale are a very different club to us in terms of financial management and recruitment, doesn't mean we're "better" and the league table will show we're not. It is about winning and league positions at the end of the day. Until the day Vale go bust again, we have to accept they are bigger and better. Byron saw that.
I agree with most of that (although in the main, Byron was played hence how he played just short of 300 games) but I think one point

He wont get away with ducking out of challenges with our manager/fans though.

Although, that's not his place in the side, he will be expected to work his nuts off for the team, and still do the business in the attacking third as well.

I'm sure Byron will buy into this as i'm sure nobody signs for the Vale and expects to be able to float about and be a passenger these days. Its not what were about.

We'll be a stern test for most sides in this league, especially at Vale Park

I've no doubt you will, but as to Byron realizing something - that's no more his style than not ducking out of a challenge I'm afraid ...

It's easy to find players weaknesses at this level. Especially with wingers. If they didn't have them, or were more consistent they wouldn't be in league 1. The player he replaces was effective at times, but was one footed, never tracked back and couldn't cross when you read the vale fan sites. I'd expect Moore to be an improvement on those, but probably be frustrating in other areas like other wingers in the league. Show me a winger who is fast, two footed, excellent at crossing, scores goals and tracks back that you can get for free in league 1.

VFIP has it about right, he is quick, capable of using his left foot but reluctant to do so (like most players at L1 level unless they're left footed), capable of scoring goals but may or may not do so - he did n't last season but did the year we got promoted, maybe just harder to do that in L1.

To me, it's a fallacy that he does n't work hard, he'll do the running and tracking back and I've seen him take advantage of tiring full backs plenty of times because he has stamina to match his pace - he won't be winning any tackles though or making any challenges that are n't 90:10 in his favour, I doubt Micky will be able to change that but as great as it looks to the fans, it's not a major part of a winger's game anyway.

It's a tough one to call for me, he may get a new lease of life at Vale and go on to reach new heights or he might find the change in environment a bit of a culture shock and it could prove that we've seen the best of him.

Hope he does well, always liked him as a player

In a full league and cup season, in a season that was our worst for a while...

In a season where he was left out for Park (lol)

    Yep, as I said originally
