    re: Club in crisis?

A strange week that's seen me nodding in agreement with Russel Brand, Sayeeda Warsi and now hirstyboywonder.

Just listened to an 'explosive' episode of football heaven dominated by disillusioned Wednesdayites. The beleaguered Serbian chairman gave an interview as did the buzzing Antonio who revealed that the takeover shenanigans are having a detrimental effect on the team, he was keen on the move and that you all really took to him (is he sure about that?).

Mandaric sounded like a man with the weight of the world on his shoulders. He thinks your squad is ready bar a striker or two - who is he trying to kid? What a insipid answer he gave when asked for an update on the takeover, he sounds like a man who knows that it ain't happening.

We still don't know the fee paid for Antonio but we do know that Reading will receive 25% of it.

braggy, Rov - any thoughts on these new revelations. Are you still confident that Mammadov will own the club?

    Well run club?
I never understand what your point is, you're just about wrong on everyone.

    Self imposed transfer embargo??

I've never seen such rubbish posted.

Penny for your thoughts on Antonio to Forest? And the state of your squad in general?

It's a time of year when you should be recruiting not selling. What message does this send out to the collective fanbase if Antonio is sold to service Mandaric's debt?[/quote]

I'm on my hols and probably don't know all the facts but I can't honestly believe we've sold our best player so close to the beginning of the season.
Its not what you do when there's a multi million pound takeover going through.
Like I say, I probably don't know all the facts but from where I am I'm not happy.

    re: Club in crisis?

Good honest post from banno and a reasonably debated post by Rov - is the mojo returning.

I think we're all looking forward to the Mandaric statement tomorrow. He needs to give us something more than the 'it's being sorted, be patient' angle - unfortunately I think that's what we're going to get. When the Head Coach is coming out with statements that he's 'frustrated' and 'disappointed' this close to the start of the season that's not good.

I don't anticipate the takeover going ahead. Credit where credit's due the big man GHO called it right from the start. As an asset SWFC isn't worth 60 million euros - that always had to bring into question the validity of the Mammadov bid.

    What's all this 'we' business?

Not sure what exchange rate you are working on but the bid was 50 million Euro not 60 million.

An antagonistic and divisive post from pinthirsty there.

We can all agree he's let himself down.

    re: Club in crisis?

For the alleged (50m Euros what was MM actually selling?

The stadium, the training facilities, everything not nailed down?

Some folks have had their pants pulled down.
