When I started going to the fitba in the early 70s dundee were by far the bigger club.
It is true in the last 35 years or so the dabs have caught them up,more people might give them credit for that if it wasn't for the fact that their fans who use this board are the weirdest ****ers going.

When you started going to the fitba we'd already been owning DFC in the derbies for a decade and the average crowds were always close with us sometimes averaging more

Both teams averaged more than AFC a couple times in the 60's aswell in the same season!

I confess I've never heard that phrase associated with Dundee FC.
It is likely because I am under 50 years old so have never really been aware of Dundee having any success at all. In termes of senior trophies won, in fact, Dundee United appear to have the edge over their smaller and less distinguished cousins[/quote]
