Whilst I prefer a local person to be involved, and one would hope he has the clubs interests at heart, successful businessmen tend to think that their way is the right way when it often isn't!

So successful businessmen tend to think their way is the right way, well I guess so otherwise they would be unsuccessful businessmen.

Mm lets see, Ashley at Newcastle, Oystons at Blackpool, that Thai guy at Cardiff, all successful in their own businesses, but would you say they have been successful at running the football clubs??

Of course there are examples of both.. Just because it works in some instances does not mean it will work all the time.

I am all for a local guy with the right mentality over some random middle eastern nutter but Swaley is right, Mel has no real experience as a chaiman at a football club.

Everything is a risk, Morris / Clement.. One or both of them may well work but to suggest that just because he is local it's a sure fire winner is wrong.

To be fair to Mel Morris he's more savvy business wise than most of the muppets you get playing with football clubs. And at the end of the day football is a business these days.

The only problem I see potentially with this is he does what Lionel did and stop thinking with his head and following his heart. I think most people loved that Lionel did that but it back fired at the end and cost him and the club.

I'm sure this wont happen with Mel as there are a number of others involved and think/hope he's seen and learn from others lessons
