    Don't like it at all.

And I got quite sentimentally attached to my avatar. I had that from when I first joined seven years ago.

But the 'lack of' functions is a bit wierd, it's going to take some getting used to. The moderators have some basic issues that FM need to sort out for starters but I get the impression that there are a whole load of bug fixes that are needed that haven't been properly tested. Thats just a guess but lets be honest, if anyone had actually tested this out properly and thought it was all fine then they've got something seriously wrong with them. No doubt the main ones will get done at some point.

Having said, I think that there has been a really negative response to every upgrade FM has done but after a while people just get used to them. So give a week or two and see how it is after that.

Oh yes, and I just noticed that the emoticons have gone. So I hope you all know how to enter them manually.

I have noticed that the latest post does not move the thread to the top of the list. By that reckoning if somebody replies to a post lower down it is unlikely to get noticed if you get my drift?

Exactly OTR I made this point in a couple of earlier posts - you will not be able to know if someone has posted to any thread unless you either look at every thread to check or can remember how many posts were on each thread all the time.

If you click on display and change from Topic to Date it will give you the time of last post and who posted it.

This lot need an upgrade to their upgrade.

I will give them two weeks to sort it.

Hello BTW and good luck for the upcoming season.

I don't think people will get used to this at all - all of the things that kept me interested with this site have been taken away with the exception of the various characters who post (and that is likely to suffer if this continues).
    1. I liked being able to see details about the posters - who was a seasoned campaigner and who was a newbie.
    2. I liked seeing and liking other comments and having mine liked by other people - that showed quickly as you skim read posts who had really hit the nail on the head (unless Goatebrown was online then everyone was guaranteed a few cheap likes)
    3. I liked the quote function which made it very easy to keep track of the points you wanted to make if a thread was moving off at a tangent to the original point or if you really wanted to make direct reference to something.
    4. I liked the fact that you knew with a glance who had replied where and at what time - it made it easy to keep track of developments. You could see quickly if people were reacting

I like it Fletch....this now seems the only way to publically say so: but you won't know if you don't go hunting for these posts.

I just tried to post a new topic to see if there was a user manual somewhere as I'm sure FM cannot have withdrawn all these functions - it must be that we simply don't know where to find them.

But the system would not let me post a new topic as I had too many words in the subject bar. I reduced it to one word, then one letter... it still refused.

If we now cannot post new topics, what's the point as everything will end up in one basket on this thread.

Come on then, own up, who else has tried the "like it" button for fletch. If they get it sorted he's gonna have about 600 likes!!!!
