Not sure , but my Dad moved to Hellaby and bought a new house on Barrie Grove for £1750. Mortgage was I think about £20 quid a month.
He worked at Maltby pit as an Overman,
Was never in debt , paid house off and had money in the bank.
Some today arne't as well off.
