Shrewsbury Post Match Thoughts

Good game if you're a Shrews fan or a nuetral.
Penalty save, a sending off and a last minute goal due to poor defending again.
Credit to Paul Hurst & his side, out-thought & out-fought us.

and 5mins after Wood went off Hursty introduced a fresh striker in Carlton Morris.

Can't wait for the Wigan game....more of the same methinks.

EDIT : not even half-way through the season & lost 8 already in a bang average League 1.

Warne and Barker should have resigned straight after match they really haven't a clue.

I had th pleasure of sitting next to Perigordmiller for the game. We drank some great tasting ales both Belsh and English and that's as good as it got.

Vaulks scores some beauties but yesterday was a continuation of bad form! His passing is supposed to be good but FFS ysterday he wasn't good at anything! I couldn't believe how bad he was. When he went to right back we started being more mature with our midfield play but that had something to do with Frex coming on. Frex was talking to everyone, calming them down, geeeing them up and giving simple instruction. Having the camera agle gives some advantage.

Whatever expieriance Wood is passing on to the young central defenders he must be doing it in another language because they're clearly not hearing him.

There was another example of last yearsform! Doing well from the off yesterday was a positive but when Moore missed the penalty we went backwards in our form! It was as if we'd given up on the game. They then went down the pitch and score whilst we were still feeling sorry for ourselves.

Moore was was playing for fouls in the first half and the ref did well to spot it. He wasn't good. His frustration went through the team.
JCH came on for Wood whilst we were chacing the game. Who is our most expierienced defender? Why would you take him off when the Ajayi was consitantly giving away throwing , corners or kicking the ball out of play.

We just sit and laugh at everything to be honest. He's a great bloke. All that way and couldn't go, jees! I hope everything worked out.

I agree with just about all of that frog.

Ajayi's form is a real disappointment. At the end of last season I thought he would be a real star for us in this
league. The comedy corner give-away that led to their winner was the low point of a bad day for him.
It would be easy to cure one of his faults. He takes massive risks with fancy footwork when he is the last man. I would buy "The Bumper Book of Basic Defending", play the match video to him and, every time he prats about trying to dribble round an attacker instead of clearing the ball, I would smack him round the head with the book.

I watched the game stone cold sober. Was Vaulks at fault for any of there goals? Was our best player yesterday. Our defence was that bad Wood stood out there. Williams, Potter had there worst games for us. Towell for his goal did ok but not much else. Moore had his usual game, if he doesn't score he's not contributed but put himself about. Next pen' we get let Johno take it. Frecks not fit & Forde not good enough pointless substitutes. To leave us with Ajayi & Mattock as Centre backs was criminal. Who played left back then?
