Surely you'd feel more comfortable with that policy SB as a Takeover Sceptic wouldn't you ?

The clubs who have bought the Nice players you've mentioned are far bigger than the French Riviera outfit and it would be extremely difficult to keep them once offers are submitted and the players made aware of them .

If you look at the Burnley model over the last few years then that's what I myself want us to follow , they've sold a fair amount of talent Danny Ings , Michael Keane etc but improved the squad none the less .

As far as I'm aware nobody came through the door promising anything here that was way out there .

What I don't want is to see again is this club sat 7th in the championship , sell or lose our top talent only to be fighting relegation 12 months later sat on a pile of money .

That can't be allowed to happen again .

I’d guess the only way to attract new owners to the club was to make it a profitable business rather than one that needed millions pumping in every few years hence sellling players last season
