Hip op went great, but they have now found trouble with my kidneys, so stuck here with a pipe up my old man, i.e. a cav ita never had one before.
I need the Miller's to start & get their act together.
Have they done a full body scan on you? Might aswell get it all sorted whilst your there

    Speedy recovery Eric

Hi Eric, a bit of friendly advice....
When they come to take the catheter off look the other way...
If it's a nice looking nurse with stockings and suspenders on you may well get a ' perk ' on....
Not good at your age....it's easier to remove the catheter when it's asleep.....

Sorry meant when you were asleep....

Well finally back home last night Wednesday.
Kept in hospital after it was found I had kidney problems,be it the epidural injection & the after antibiotics cocktail caused damage to the kidney's, to which I was told does happen.
It was found I was loosing more fluids out of my body, to how much I was drinking, so I was dehydrating with my kidneys not functioning correctly, so I had to keep drinking while also being given a saline inline to my body,my legs & feet swelled up like elephants legs, making it hard to walk, has my kidney's were only functioning at 75%.
I was allowed home with my blood results on the borderline, & allowed a water tablet to reduce the fluids, plus of course normal pain & blood clot tablets, with some of my normal medication. Quite a lot of trouble during the night with frequent visits to the toilet.
Today the swelling in the legs is going down, with the help of the water tablet,so hopefully I can get the fluid situation sorted out, & look forward to getting back on track with my hip operation recovery.

One thing Casper the young nurse who removed the catheter was gentle, I even said to her that being that she now knew me personally, we ought to get engaged.
I had a good laugh in hospital with all the staff, to which I took a certain object in with me, to be revealed later.
