Cause they offered bigger money then us which is why he ended up going to Middlesbrough.

Middlesbrough beat Millwall 2-0 so that’s them sealed a place in the play-offs, so it’s down to us vs Preston to seal a last place play-off spot with us seeing who we will face over the semi-final two legs between Cardiff & Fulham, who are fighting out for a automatic promotion spot on the final day.

No they matched his release clause - we never did so we weren't in the running, which part of that are you struggling with

We offered £6-8m Forest declined it, then Middlesbrough offered £15m which was too good for an offer to turn down for them and we were given an option to match the offer that Middlesbrough had given but given our history on big money signings we didn’t want to take the risk so we decided not to match Middlesbrough’s offer and they got him and we went with another option up front as an alternative.

If we offered 6-8m why would someone come in and just double it just like that instead of making incremental offers, its because the release clause was 15m so there was no point in making incremental offers, they met the release and he went there, we weren't prepared to meet the release clause so we weren't in the running, is it still too hard for you or shall I dumb it down even further to Peter and Jane level for you?

Because we offered £6-8m and Forest declined it because they wanted more money for him, as they valued him at a higher price to which we valued him at, which we was only going to pay for him and Middlesbrough had more money to spend then us giving that they got relegated from the Premier League and are willing to spend and meet any price that Forest valued him at which was £15m.

We got Jerome for 1.5m so imo Middlesboro were ripped off spending 15m for Assombalonga, who I've never rated anyone, Vydra is a much better all round striker imo.

I'd also argue a younger Nuge is a better player than Assombalonga, pity he's the wrong side of 30.

Vydra hasn’t got the strength and pace and willing to take players on by himself which complete strikers have got, as Britt has so he’s not an all around player but he’s a quality striker nonetheless.

Nugent is a box to box type of player and is a good workhorse that if you need a job doing, he will do it for you and he is someone you can rely on.

You just don't listen do you, forest didn't value him at 15m, he negotiated into his contract a 15m release clause which if met would mean they would have to accept it, why would we even go in with an offer of 6-8m if we knew he couldn't be sold for less than 15m.......hence we were never in the running, irrelevant where boro got the money from, they had it so were in the running and paid it, we didn't have it and weren't in the running.....simple enough for you?
