Having opted for 5th a year ago and having had £20 on us for promotion at 8/1 I'm obviously well-qualified to assess our chances this season. (On the other hand I probably can't be so lucky a second time). So, having fed all the data into the computer and having made a slight adjustment for the Warne factor, and not being pessimistic, defeatist or morbid, though admitting to a level of plasticity in my advancing years, I'm going for a hard-fought 23rd, as opposed to the abject capitulation last time around.

I'd be amazed if you can't see that he has a point.
Do you think that there is any club's message board where you could post how rubbish the club was, "light years from where we were" I think you wrote, advise all and sundry that it's not good enough for you, post that you are jacking it in (to watch Leeds ffs!), and then, at the end of the season come back with "didn't we do well" posts - without getting a bit of stick? Really?

I would keep an alternative support for Leeds quiet on here if I was Pete they are not really the club to aspire to at the moment as terminal underachievers I saw them a number of times on telly last season and they were truly dire, but then again I have been surprised by a number of millers who i would think were die hard millers fans who deserted the club after we went down last time. I'm not sure quite what they expect from the club. These are THE good times so we have to enjoy them when we can. I quite enjoyed last season obviously getting up was a big bonus and fantastic but it was nice to start seeing us win games again even if it was in a lower league. I would have enjoyed last season even if we had dipped out at the end it was certainly a lot better than the previous season.

If fans expect much more from us they are being totally unrealistic and maybe would be better off supporting another club but Leeds? If you want to support a winning team go and support Man C, Chelsea or somebody like that.

You know what. I'll spend me money as I see fit and I'll continue to watch both clubs and buy STs for both clubs, as I see fit. Stopped watching the Millers away from home because of the thrashings we constantly got in Champs, didn't want to watch L1 standard football with away fans, some of whom were let's say less than human. Didn't like where the club was heading.

I have bought myself choice and that is exactly what money buys you. I will pick and chose the games I go to next season as well. Is that ok? Because I exercise choice it seems I no longer can voice an opinion on the Millers, even though I have had STs longer than most on here I suspect. My father played for RUFC so I am always gonna look out for them aren't I?

Hope nobody has a secret team on telly they like watching.

I openly admitted I got things wrong with Warney etc but Archie, Wrinkly and co coming on here saying I no longer am worthy is a joke.

Roly you are a very decent poster but your opinion differs from mine and the reason it was Leeds is because I live only 30 minutes away. Nothing more serious than that. Why would I travel all the way to Manchester. Sorry you miss my point. I support Leeds coz it's local. I travel 1 hour 15 minutes for every RUFC home game. It's just me wanting to fill my Saturdays with football and exercising choice.

It's like folk saying they hate the Owls or the Blades or the Dingles. It doesn't make much sense to me. I will continue to go to Leeds and RUFC for as long as it suits me. When it doesn't I will find something else to do. If that's alright with some.

To have a go at me is plain daft. Things have moved on a bit since kids got a strappin for being cheeky. Some so called adults on here should do the same.

I don't think I said that you were no longer worthy. I just pointed out that your slating of the club and deciding you'd had enough, would be bound to get you some stick when coupled with your how well "we" did posts.

Pete has travelled the length and breadth of the country watching the millers his father played for our club.
Like a lot of posters on here he voiced his opinion at the state of affairs which at the time was shambolic.
I sometimes go to old Trafford with a good friend of mine for evening games I would class Man Utd has my second team doesn’t make me any less of a supporter.
Yes his comments didn’t sit well with a lot but doesn’t mean he’s not a true Miller imo.
