He,s snapping up the best players from other teams who he's has witnessed first hand and have impressed him.
He told us this ages ago with smudger Smith. Gave RUFC defenders a torrid time when he played for Bury. He recruits him and then the player gives virtually every opposition defence a torrid time when playing for us

Teams like Blackpool finished way down the league because they don't have as many good players as we did. But......If we poach the best players from these teams then there's a very real chance that our quality will improve.
Only time will tell if they are cship quality but PW hasn't let us down has he

The thing is they are also young players as well so they have not peaked yet so there is a good chance they will be championship standard once they have a bit of warney treatment. If the worst comes to the worst and we go down again we have a good league 1 forward and defender ready to give us a chance to yo yo back up. Think Warne is spot on what he is doing and realistically this is our only way forward with the big boys in the championship. My biggest fear is that we might lose warne if we do well next year then we will be burgered.

Young established championship players are not going to sign for a yoyo team. Wayne is looking at young good league 1 players that may be good enough for championship or even premiership that others don't want or need to take a risk on.
if they are good enough then they will likely be sold for a profit. Do fans think if we had the money to pay millions for transfer, then 10s of thousands on wages the players would sign. The only way we will get players with a history in the championship are the has-beens' on their way out.

Me, I'm just happy to be a Miller and think Warne is doing the best he can with the tiny budget available to him compared to every other Championship club.
