On this point, I have nothing against Central belters.
I have plenty of friends down there and usually manage to meet up regularly when we’re down that way.
I do like to go to other areas of Scotland so that’s partly behind my preference for UTD or Caley.

The no fans argument is a bit tiresome too. It's not the Accies fault that most of the locals would rather go an watch the two behemoths. On the one hand, you lot complain about all the glory-hunters that support the ugly sisters but then you don't want clubs that are struggling to attract fans. I can understand this argument with a franchise like Livingston, or an amalgamation like ICT, but the Accies have been on the go longer than we have.

Who cares how empty stadiums look on the TV? The rest of the world (including the English) don't watch and don't care (despite what the Ugly Sisters believe); therefore, if you're worried what Scottish fans think about empty stadiums then maybe they should get their fat butts out of their armchair and go plump it down on a plastic one at their LOCAL stadium, whether that's in the top tier or the 4th tier...
We have also done pretty well on plastic pitches this season. None of our injuries have come due to a plastic pitch either. It's all faux outrage.

If boozers and things to do are a big factor then away fans will be disappointed when we move to Kingsford.

    You just made that up.

I can get from home to the ICT car park in less than 90 minutes , as opposed to roughly 4 hours for Hamilton/Paisley. So it’s a no-brainer for me to hope that Caley get promoted at the expense of Accies or St Mirren.

And Accies’ can gtf because of their plastic pitch as well

And there’s the added bonus that it clearly irks a lot of the central-belt having to leave their establishment comfort zone

What’s the lottery numbers for next week.
If and when Kingsford gets completed, I’d expected businesses to take a hold of the opportunity.

    StandFree mentioned that earlier.
I guess if you're not able to make it North to Pittodrie, there’s slim chance of you going to Caley.

I wholeheartedly agree with your sentiments here. The upside of the PJM’s coming back up to replace some central belt pish is that it’s a good bit closer for most of us , and a win against them is always far more satisfying than beating the likes of Hamilton.

But that's far outweighed by the continuing pleasure of seeing them floundering in the lower leagues and failing to get close to winning the Irn Bru Challenge Cup or whatever it’s called.

Mark Reynolds Aberdeen career ended because of a plastic pitch in July

I agree with the boozer argument. Nae boozers at Kingsford. So the boozer argument brigade will have to enjoy away games only

I get the point but the runs in the past for me.
The last time I had a laugh at UTD’s expense was when a guy at work got promoted and after congratulating him, I said that as a UTD fan I didn’t realise they did promotion.

As you say, it will be more pleasure able for us to play and beat them again than we get against Hamilton
