Personally whether you were a leaver or a remainer has to become irrelevant at some stage because we have left the EU and won't be returning .

The Labour Party have absolutely no influence what goes on now with the negotiations going on with Brussels .

The slate has to be wiped clean at some stage .

I agree the slate has to be wiped clean but I have reservations about whether some of those who were responsible for Labour losing so badly will be able to change their deeply entrenched views.

Problem is the PLP are fishing in an extremely small pond to get any leavers on the front bench .

I suspect the resentment hasn't left the remainers in the PLP towards leaving the EU , in my own experiences there are many members who want to see the country go over a cliff rather than work effectively towards making a success of it .

The bitterness is actually extremely shocking to witness so I do take your point .

However we can only see how they go on and give them a go .

Why do they need to be leavers?

They just need to follow the general consensus of their constituents.

Nothing wrong with having personal views but too many MP’s forget they are there to serve and represent their local electorate.

Think too many of them have been a total disgrace. Particularly Labour MP’s in the heartlands.

A regrettable appointment, on a par with Pretty Awful Patel. On balance there are more good appointments to the SC than not.
