Not disputing this Blackie ..... all I'm just saying is he started it all by direct selling before he moved on to bigger things.

I know exactly what you mean - believe me. I worked for one but never regretted the experience.

Morgan was the darling of many on the right for a good 10 years. Whenever he called out 'lefty liberal PC nonsense' he was someone who 'tells it how it is'. Since he's started calling out Tories, all of a sudden he's not 'telling it how it is' but he's attention seeking and trouble causing.

Conversely, there are those on the left who despised him but are now liking and retweeting everything he posts about the Tories.

Then there are those on both sides with the modicum of intelligence that was required to know all along that Twitter (and being contrary) is what he's been doing for a living for the last 10 years.

When was this? I know he was editor of the Mirror which isn't a darling of the right. I am not disputing you just curious to know.

The truth is, Bushwacka, that few commentators - apart from Morgan - have dared to call out the Government's handling of Covid-19 for fear that they would look stupid if Johnson et al came out of it looking good. Johnson's own dalliance with the virus also bought him a bit of compassion.
To give him his due, Morgan has picked them off one at a time. He has done no more than Paxman (in his heyday) and before him, Robin Day, by refusing to accept waffle. So many politicians on both sides fill the gap with noise. Never use a sentence where a paragraph might do (rather like a few on NCM) has been there operative maxim.
The 'impressive leadership', which was praised far too early in the proceedings on here, has now been shown as anything but. The tide is turning and it's looking like history will not deliver a good verdict in favour of Boris and the Yesmen.
Like I said earlier, I would want Morgan to be just as forensic if it was Labour making such a hash of things.
Morgan is nobody's darling - he's too bloody arrogant and ill-mannered for that - but right now he is the only commentator prepared to challenge this bunch of faux politicians.

Channel 4 news has been doing for years with much less fanfare what Morgan has been doing with much less subtlety during this crisis.

Of course Tory ministers have faced up to that challenge by manfully refusing to go on it anymore. Still, Johnson did give an exclusive to the Sun so that’s something.
