    Once it suits the government to not put every person that dies down as covid 19 things will change. June or July would be my guess.

    Headline on the back of the Sunday mirror..."axe drop, and we'll play"...bottom 6 obviously not that concerned about health and safety then!

    All hypothetical of course, but if the EFL do with the Championship what they have done for Leagues 1 & 2 (writing of remainder of season and asking the clubs to "vote" on how to address promotion/relegation), and given that if the clubs do vote, they take responsibility for the outcome and therefore probably lose any rights to go to law etc, could be interesting.

    Assuming things end now as far as the regular season goes;

    If there are playoffs to be played (all at Wembley over a period tbd), then it's not unreasonable to assume that the top 6 would vote for, the "middle order" also, and obviously those at the foot of the table but above the relegation zone, total 16. Against would be positions 7 - 11(ish), and the bottom three, total 8. The "ayes" have it

    If there are no playoffs, top 3 promoted, bottom three relegated, then top 3 vote yes, middle order from 12 down to 21 also yes, total 13. From 4 - 11, no and bottom three no again, total 11.

    So either way, it could work out ok for Leeds, although the no-playoff option is a more fine run thing.

    It would suck to go into a playoff format. Not as bad as voiding the season but a close second.

    MB and the squad were playing for automatic and for good reason. The playoffs have never been kind to us and last year was awful. Up 2-0 aggregate at halftime at home and losing 4-2 to a rather substandard squad that we dominated int the regular season.

    basically makes the season almost meaningless other than the right to compete in the playoffs.

    if you are going to do that then play out the regular season behind closed doors. Play 5 games a day on game day at some neutral site. hell, if could be a league II or one venue.

    Sorry Spaldy, i meant the playoffs would be "as previously", for position 3 - 6. Auto would operate on the top 2 as normal, either with positions "as is" or calculated on points-per- game. Either scenario would get us up.
