The following players will not be offered new contracts with the club for the 2020/21 season:

Bradley Garmston, Harry Davis, Brandon Buckley, Elliott Whitehouse, Elliot Grandin, Jake Hessenthaler, Harry Cardwell, Ahkeem Rose & Jordan Cook.

Colchester haven’t issued a full retained list but have said they can’t afford to offer new deals to four first team players because of the financial impact of the coronavirus crisis.

Those players are: Luke Prosser, Frank Nouble, Ryan Jackson and Brandon Comley

Wasn't Marcus Maddison the player who failed to agree terms with Charlton in the Jan transfer window so they didn't get a fee for him.
Darrah told him he wouldn't play again.
Maybe if it had been managed a bit better then Maddison might have given them just enough to sneak into the adjusted playoffs.

    Life,s a bitch sometimes

I wouldn’t mind Maddison signing for us I think he’s the missing key we could do with in midfield

    They had a head analyst?

Judging by the comments from Fry and Co it was a massive job analysing theirs.
