Add to that the introduction of new players. It should be no surprise we have a slow ish start. Calm down, some of you ...
If I'm not mistaken the physio said in an interview that because of the play offs, the majority of the squad would start the season at full match fitness rather than taking a few games to get there.

It's a reason why we should be beating teams like Dover, not a reason to excuse losing to them.

This post reminds me of two syndromes- Knee jerk reaction syndrome (we are 1 game into a new season) & Notts fans love something or some one to moan about syndrome (not your usual style EP but some certainly seem to be enjoying a good whinge I bet they couldn't wait for the season to begin) COYP.

Notts should be winning this game and comfortably. Ardley needs to sack off the diamond midfield and get back to the 4-4-2 or if he is that bothered about messing with a formation look at a 4-2-3-1.

At home we should be playing as many of our attacking players as possible.

The 4-2-3-1 would suit the players we have at our disposal. Back 4 picks itself.
The 3 and 1 would be Enzio, Rodrigues and Cal with Wooton up front.
Those 3 I mentioned should be destroying none league.

... it's ok ancient, Snobhead 1 can't help himself. He's a sad old git who wallows in misery; it's his leftie upbringing ... can't have anyone trying to be successful. Still, we can but humour him ..

What??? I'm the one who is desperate for Ardley to be successful. You're the one constantly looking to excuse failure, and that last one about a slow start being no surprise must have took you a lot of time!

Keep setting the bar lower and lower, and I'm sure that eventually Ardley will meet your expectations.

I certainly aint going to turn this political EP, anyone who knows me will testify that I have never been a great fan of Ardley or his negative tactics, however I have in the past made a case for him possibly being the best applicant for the job. I may still be suffering from the relieved I still have a club to support syndrome ( I had serious doubts when Hardy started performing) & if after 10 games we are still struggling I may well switch sides but until then I will give Ardley ,our owners & the team the benefit of the doubt & get behind them 100% not like some apparently. Fingers crossed for 10 games.

Aren't we all desperate for any Notts manager to be successful?

    Of course we are.

It is possible however to want him to succeed, but still say we don't think he's capable of succeeding.

Alty were involved in playoffs too, so in theory both teams should have exactly the same fitness levels tomorrow. Unless Alty are part-timers, of course - then we really will have no excuse.
