In hindsight I should have voted against the FPS taking over and voted in favour of the other option which had been
submitted by members of the Dundee Business Trust.
At least we would have remained at Dens Park and the current Chief Executive of Dundee Football Club
would not be receiving a huge annual salary.
The Dee4life Trust would also have two representatives on the board of Dundee Football Club which
    is currently the case.
Despite it being one of the conditions of the entrenched rights in the A shares the Dee4life Trust has not had a Primary representative
on the board of Dundee Football Club since previous Primary representative resigned on 1st April 2017.

For the record I am a co-opted DFCSS board member which ensures that the Society has a minimum number of directors under their
    laid down rules
I was co-opted after Ian Baird resigned.
It would have been a lot easier for me to have declined and remained as an official volunteer which I have been since December 2017.
It would certainly have saved me receiving a lot of abuse both on this forum and particularly on the Dark Blues Forum.

    Your 'abuse' is others' observation.

[QUOTE=islaydarkblue;39597627]If FPS had carried out what they said they would when they purchased a majority controlling interest in Dundee Football Club Limited and purchased Dens Park we would not be having this discussion.
A fund raising scheme would have been in operation for the past six years raising funds to buy Dens Park back from FPS.
If the 1893 Foundation can raise £100k per year where the money goes into the club bank account it is likely that a lot more money could have been raised each year to buy back Dens Park.
Several years ago the rumoured cost to buyback Dens Park was £850k with the lease due to end in 2046. With several years rent already paid it is possible that the cost to buyback Dens Park may be lower. Only John Bennett can answer

FPS own Dens and we would wonder how they will parlay that into their stadium, housing and crematorium strategy.

FPS do not own Dens Park. John Bennett owns Dens Park.
After Lloyd’s Banking Group took over HBOS they wrote off £6.5 million trim of the outstanding £7 Million debt due by Dundee Football Club to HBOS and they sold Dens Park to John Bennett for £500,000. At the time of Administration 2 from memory John Bennett had lent Dundee Football Club a further £250k.
I do not have all my information to hand but I am sure that some posters on here will have the correct information.
Dundee Football Club have a lease for Dens Park where they pay an increasing rental. They are also responsible for all repairs and improvements at Dens Park.

In my opinion it has been uncalled for observations especially when some of them do not not know the full facts and they never will ....

I doubt if John Nelms would accept my nomination as the Primary Representative of the Dee4life Trust.
I have just been checking the Articles of Association and according to Rules 80 - 82 as long as the Supporter Society or a successor Supporters Organisation holds a majority of the A shares they are entitled to nominate in writing to the Company two persons to be directors of the Company.
A primary representative and a secondary representative.
The Dundee Football Club board of directors may reject three persons nominated by the Supporter Shareholder(Dee4life Trust) and they must accept the fourth person nominated by the Supporter Shareholder.
I would gladly become the Primary representative for the Dee4life Trust on the board of Dundee Football Club but I would have to be the fourth person nominated by the Society under the entrenched rights of the A shares.

    Wrong.

The DFC board must accept the primary representative nominated by DFCSS. They can refuse the secondary representative three times before they must accept the fourth. This has never happened because there was an agreement at the time that a nomination by the club would be proposed by the DFCSS board.

Do you think the fans rep whoever he or she is serves any purpose under the current set up.

If yes what do you think their main function should be?

Communication with fans, watchful eye over goings on, ceremonial role😁......what do you think......cause I'm unsure of the need or purpose except that we can have one so we will.

Not having a go at Dfcss just curious what you think.
