No need for me to guess, you've made it pretty clear.

    I agree 100% with you.

Last thing then I'll butt oot for a bit.

I actually fear the SNP more than independence, independence can be moulded (I'd still vote against) with time and patience but the SNP as Noah says are a cult a scary scary cult and I think they would create a horrible country and a very very feminine country.

    Not for me.

are you that old, thought you were younger 🙂 only people left supporting tory corruption and now state-organised criminal gangs are over 65 i.e. yesterdays people, not tomorrows. Think this forum is a prime example 😲

I'm surprised there are so many tory footsoldiers on here given what they did to Dundee and Scotland for decades and will be doing again in the post-brexit world. Short memories.

Where do you think the Scottish Government gets their money to deal with the current Covid-19 pandemic in Scotland. Despite what you may think is not from the SNP magic money tree.

It's easy. Scotland contributes to the UK treasury, the treasury then proportionally allocates funds back to Scotland to deal with Coronavirus - is there no money spent on this by the UK Government in England? Would it be right for the UK government to force the system currently in use in England upon us and for them to manage and directly finance it? Do you think it would save money? Of course it wouldn't give you another reason to Scottish Government bash so wouldn't suit you at all would it?

We don't "Get" any money from the UK government tho. At the moment we are part of a 4 country union collectively, the money to deal with covid is additional debts to the union, the only difference is the UK government is in England who have the authority to dish it out. An independent Scotland would have to apply to join the IMF like the UK did years ago.
Do you honestly think England subsidises the other 3 nations? London is a rich city but for every London there is 10 Burnley, Rotherham etc.

It has been well documented in the financial press that the taxes paid by people and businesses in the whole of Greater London and South East subsidises the rest of the U.K.
it is the wealthiest part of the U.K. by far.
