Well with a 92% turnout, 98% of the members voted to hand over £100k to the club - £60k now and another £40k when this is accrued over the next few months.

Our financial outlook looks understandably bleak. It also begs the question if we have been paid out from the insurers or if we ever had the insurance in the first place?

However I think as things stand we're all pulling in the same direction so fans joining up has to be positive.
Totally agree that fans joining up is a good thing, but reading the earlier post something sprang to mind.

We had a situation at work (a very big work) and a very senior manager turned up to a shop floor meeting.
When asked by some to leave he replied "I'm a paying member of this union, I am entitled to be here"
Part of the meeting was discussing management shortcomings.
He stayed , and the meeting went on without too much trouble, but my feelings were , that because of his presence, numerous usually vociferous folk kept their mouths shut, and others didn't want to be seen to rock the boat.

Not the same thing I know, but that thought did flag up to me when I heard that Mark, Tony and Mickey were joining a supporters federation.

Probably reading far too much in to things and they are just genuinely trying to show support and not Big Brother keeping an eye on folk that didn't always sing from the same hymn sheet.

I dont thinks its anywhere near the same. Difference is Yeats its our football club, its not our source of income where guys would be scared to rock the boat and get their jotters, its their source of income, I would think any meetings where any of the Ogrens or Tony or whoever was in attendance as members it would make no difference, i wouldnt expect them to be involved at all tbh

Nor would I..... as I said ... paranoia But.......... if they did turn up mob handed, (mind Tony was in the Polis)
Kidding of course , it was just something that sprang to mind after reading a different opinion on the situation that I hadn't thought about until it was posted.

That's a very good example of the kind of actions and implications that may perhaps be overlooked at moment but important when all is not rosy at Tannadice. I'd also be concerned about leaks to local media at Dee C's

I'm guessing the fact only £60K is being donated with the rest being made up of future membership fees and donations, that the Foundation is now skint as well?

Having contributed to the walk fund, joined DUSF, purchased 3 season tickets. I feel have done my bit to help keep the club afloat, like so many on this board. I would now appreciate if the club could be more transparent in relation to the insurance policy as to whether we do have a claim and where we stand. Incidentally going back to the funds raised by the walk. Am I right in saying that hertz had to pay out fees after losing? If so what happened to the money? Was it used to help with the financial impact?

I think we had to pay our own costs for the court of session and that was the purpose of the walk
