You wanted to get the Aberdeen job at the time Mcinnes did, the landscape was ripe for them to have a real go at some success. Their record in big matches whether old firm, Europe, cup finals/semifinals has been poor. Think likelihood even if Mciness stayed or not is they have lost a lot of their advantages of first pick on most players outwith Celtic, Rangers a force again, hibs, possibly Utd/hearts coming back stronger.

Similar to Neil Lennon at Celtic, I bet they wish they hadn’t hung on long enough for him to make a mess of Brendan Rogers work. Still think mciness should have been allowed to see out the season. Not major dif between 3rd and 4th. Unless they want a new man in early for next season.

If you look at the top 4, outside rangers, none of their fans are overly happy, even hibs fans aren’t overly enthused with hibs under Ross jack.

no i am being blatant - i dont think this is a good way to do things but he has been approached. Mellon may survive i dunno. I think a banned poster aged 70+ may have some details too.

Is Mellon wanting to leave or is he getting sacked? Over the piece he’s done what we were needing this season now and surely deserves his chance to take it forward into the next one.

Really dont understand why we would approach Del boy as Mellon has currently achieved more than i expected so far, and there are little glimpses of what the future will bring.

Dont think Aberdeen were as bad as what some are making out, and have to question what people are expecting from Scottish Football?

When Mellon joined I'm sure I read somewhere that he was on a rolling contract. It wasn't from the club, I think it might have been Scott Burns.
