    Moral obligation? Really?

Tell you what, I’ll not chip in but if I win the money can go to charity. How’s that?

    Here’s a decent one https://www.lucyfaithfull.org.uk/

Yep. You're from Lancashire all right.

Put him down as another genuine entrant Griff.

    Money has though Chalky.

Didn't Frank the Reneger introduce the prize fund a couple of seasons ago?

Before that it was "not about the money" the game was "played for fun" and "the spirit of the game" was untarnished.

Personally, I like a bet and I like a decent prize at the end.

    Everyone to their own though.

Why are you being like that, nobody has ever been asked to donate before, you've only asked two posters and they are both from Rochdale,it's wrong

I donated because I wanted to not because I was asked to,it was just to match Frank and Griffs donation and wouldn't want anybody to feel obliged to do the same, the bookies are back open if you fancy a bet

    Apologies Chalky.

I didn't mean to be offensive to your friends. I lived in Lancashire for several years, found the people far friendlier than Carlisle and even went to watch Rochdale a couple of times.

Having said that I find your comments about "taking the knee" far more offensive than anything I have said tonight.

    Just a quiet reminder:

    There’s no entry fee

Donations to the prize fee are welcome but aren’t compulsory

I’ve known Kel on messageboards for years and he’s a good ‘un. His offer to donate money to charity if he wins mirrors Piglet’s action during the covid-truncated season, and most of my winnings last season went to charity. MrsGriff ate the rest.

Howoldboy, Chalky, Piglet and all the other entrants have been worthwhile contributors to this board for years and are also welcome. I can also confirm that Piglet is a generous man.

This is a competition between players and sportsmen. Let’s just smile and get down to it.

    Peace.
