3.) I'm a new fan to Barnsley so take this with a grain of salt, but man I don't see much creativity or elite goal scoring prowess from Woodrow. He's just *there*, per se and occasionally takes some fine shots. Not a big difference maker thus far.


You’re right. For me, he is a cheat, and can’t turn a man. The lad Lavery showed him how to spin and turn a man today.,a right pain against us. We’d be lucky to get 400k for Woodrow on current form.

Its hard to say it M.B but Cauley has been awful like this for way too long now. Apart from hitting the odd spectacular free kick of course like at Stoke, but how often do they work out .
Wasn't it at the start of last season where we were saying he just needs that bit of luck in front of goal, and then he will really keep on scoring. Well he got a few normal goals (not free kicks or pens), but doesn't seem to have improved at all and whether its down to a poor attitude or is he just not suited to this style of play ?.

Dom Frieser is the same, hes got a few goals this season but most of time hes ineffective, and then theres Vic Adeboyajo and Devante Cole. So how much worse is this going to get ?.

Woodrow was our best player a few seasons ago.
And because of that reason many of our supporters can’t see beyond it.
He wouldn’t even make the bench if I had owt to do with it.

Are we sure its not Russell Howard who is playing up front for us ?. And maybe thats why his 'comedy' show isn't funny anymore as Cauley Woodrow is presenting it really badly lol. Im sure they are twins.

(I used to joke about Mike Sheron being rubbish up front as well, because his twin look-a-like Peter Ebdon the snooker player had swapped places with him. Thats why 'Ebdon' didn't win anything for ages!!)

In all my time watching this club and even factoring the knee jerk reactions of fans in the modern world of social media I cannot remember a time when a managers head was so quickly on the chopping block almost universally .

The reason is pretty clear , we haven't a poor squad by any means and it's current struggles can only be attributed to the HC and his staff .

To make a group of players worse than the ability we know they have leaves the HC with absolutely no place to hide .

This isn't Keef and his Rochdale free transfer band of not so merry men .

This isn't Parkin and players who wouldn't put a shift in for him .

This squad is even way above what Morais couldn't get a tune out of .

You cannot go from a 5th placed finish with minus your captain and Dike to relegation fodder overnight looking like the shambles we are at the moment .

If that's plausible then Val must be the greatest fecking HC of all time and he isn't by any means .

With a squad capable of championship sustainability you simply cannot allow this to carry on too much longer .

If you do then all the pain and hard work to come through the other side after winning promotion from league one will be in vain .

I'm not prepared to accept that , we've come too far over the last two season's to see it go down the toilet .

Wouldn't doing nothing make them more incredibly stupid SB ? .

The loss of revenue with a potential drop in to league one places their sustainability model in great jeopardy .

Even more so with the financial implications of covid .

Some of these players would see their market value drop substantially with a few with only a year left on their current deals .

Saving face or risk having the club to be financed from their own pockets ?

The easier one to me is to ditch the HC because clearly the fan base ain't going to blame em .

There's more flack coming their way by doing nowt surely .

Conway has banged on about how brilliant his data approach to running a club is and the data from Austria showed that Rex Schopp was the man to get. It would be hard for him to accept it has failed but you are right that the thought of losing money would trump that, It is the time to gather money this coming January and summer from some of the many youngsters he bought as three of four key players are ripe for sale.

We were always going to drop on a dud at some point , nobody but nobody has this game cracked .

I sense arrogance , arrogance that after the last three hit their respective targets and the last one massively over-achieving they thought they'd nailed this aspect of their model .

Look at the stats and away you go and another slam dunk .

The data doesn't identify chemistry though does it or even problem solving when you lose players for what ever reason .

I suspect there's arrogance too from Schopp .

Fifth placed finish so it's a doddle to negotiate this gig .

Except there were one off events that contributed to the fifth placed finish and the sum of parts isn't what you initially thought they were .

Without a plan , aggression and a band of brothers mentality the ability we do possess won't come to fruition .

We are Barnsley not fecking Bournemouth who pass the ball for fun and have exceptional players .

The club and Schopp are complicit in this current shambles .

We don't do arrogance in this town or club .

Learn the lesson , get rid , try again whilst there's plenty of time to turn it around .
