You defo hear fans in cox more from shankly, even though I've no doubt Derry is louder...accoustics don't work.

If this was gonna be a permanent thing I'd try and incentivise our younger fans to go there.....make it their own.

They got nothing but hassle in the Derry, seen it with my own eyes.

Or allowing an open tic sorta thing for supporters clubs to sit together there.

There's plenty that can be done if there's a will instead of a "no we cannae because".....
I used to work beside a member of the Ellenbank Dundee supporters club. He told me that he preferred going to Away games as all the members of the their supporters club could sit together which could generate a good atmosphere However there was not the same atmosphere at Dens Park as the members of the Ellenbank supporters club were scattered throughout the home stands due to them each having a designated seat for their season ticket.
That was almost 20 years ago when there was PAYG for supporters to attend Away with none of this nonsense of all ticket games for all SPFL games and cup ties.

Yes if we are scoring and winning but admittedly it's no aimed at auld gadgers like us

Yes I think we score more, crowd willed the ball in v st m after ump**** corners.

We must be the only club in world football that dosent use a slope and normal direction of the wind to our advantage.

Having 4000 to 5000 in one half of the park will make a massive difference.....at the moment we have 3 separate fan bases, the generally encouraging Derry, the Emirates like Cox and God's ****ing waiting room in the main stand.
There is nothing wrong with people sitting in the Main Stand.
I have never seen Police officers lecturing fans about their behaviour in the Main Stand apart from once at an Under 19 game against Motherwell when the Main Stand was the only part of the ground that was open for spectators.
Stuart McCall who was the Motherwell manager who was sitting in the Motherwell dugout complained to police officers on duty about young Dundee supporters sitting in the Main Stand shouting that he was a fat *******. They were correct but Stuart McCall did not like the Dundee supporters telling him the truth.

Possible use for the Shankly. No dedicated seating, just let friends get together as best they can? 3000 seats, if we got 3000 PATG to fill it I think the club would be happy.

Same at Perth except they have young mutants with webbed fingers instead of people.

Need to keep our noisy element near away fans to give them something to goad surely? Would removing away fans even further from the noisy Dundee fans possibly be counter productive?
There were about 800 Motherwell supporters in the Main Stand for the Motherwell league cup game.
This might be a controversial suggestion but I would close the Bobby Cox Stand and South Enclosure with the people who sit there being relocated to the Bob Shankly Stand and Main Stand. This would result in a far better atmosphere especially when the players come out of the dressing room on to the pitch at the start of the game.
Away supporters could be put in the South Enclosure which would keep them away from Dundee supporters at the end of the game.
The club could trial my suggestion at the Ross County game on Wednesday 27th October 2021 as Ross County are unlikely to have more than 100 supporters at this game.

The club would need to press gang members of the public to get 3,000 PATG in Shankly for the Ross County game.
Alternatively you could start another campaign to fill the South Enclosure to capacity for the Ross County game on 27th October.

I was talking about Motherwell supporters at Fir Park and St J fans at McDiarmid being located right beside away fans not sitting in our stand.

Dundee fans will never accept being denied the SE, and certainly not to let 100 to 200 Ross County fans sit there.

Unless it's for a very valid reason, such as a serious safety concern or another unavoidable intervention, I will be demanding a refund of my season ticket money if I'm told I have to give up my chosen and paid for seat in The Coxy, where I've sat since the stand opened, for any game. Why? Because I'm a cantankerous old git that hates any change implemented simply for the sake of change.

No, that's what st j do, Mwell support their team.

Why does it have to be about goading.......it's really only the UK where we feel the need to goad away fans.

Dosent seem to happen in other countries where away supports are non existent.

Nothing wrong with it, it's just next stop heaven or hell......it does attract a certain type.....I raised my voice once in the main stand and possibly would have got banned for life if Linda Blair was a bit quicker.
