I do one every week before visiting my mom. They used to be free. I have heard that GP's are going to start charging for appointments.
I hate being a smart alec but all these things I predicted last year.
    Cashless society next.

Holland into full lockdown from tomorrow with all non essential shops, hairdressers, bars and other public places to remain closed at least until the middle of January.

Two visitors allowed at your home, increasing to 4 over 24-26 December and Dec 31- Jan 1.

France, Germany and Republic of Ireland all announced new curbs to try and halt Omicron.

It is not just an issue for the UK.

I can honestly see issues with all these vaccines being pumped into bodies - seems very strange why astrazeneca is not being used in booster shots which gives me the vibes - it was f uckin rubbish in the first place!
Our two shots were astrazeneca, no reaction at all. But the booster is Phizer and most people we know who has had it have been ill for days. We aren't having the booster, I agree with pumping a lot of stuff into you can't be good.
It's the long term effects that have to be considered.
We are just guinea pigs and no-one really knows how much good they do.
As I said my wife's friend couldn't have her booster because of her blood, so it must have serious side effects on certain people.
How do you know if you are one of them?

I don’t personally know of anyone who’s had an adverse reaction to the Phizer jab.

Not having the booster is madness, you’re now a part of the problem rather than helping the situation.

Most people I know have had a slight reaction to the the booster e.g. a stiff arm for a max of 48 hours. I don't know of anyone who has been 'ill for days'. If a stiff arm is the price to pay for preventing serious symptoms of Covid, then having the booster is a no brainer!

I know loads who have had the booster and suffered a reaction. My wife and daughter had the booster ( moderna ) almost a week ago and still feel awful. My wife wishes she did not have it and will certainly not have anything else.

Each to their own. I see it both ways. I could understand it more if the vaccines prevented the virus from being passed on! A consultant also informed me in many instances those who have not been jabbed but have had Covid are more protected than those who have not had Covid but completely jabbed. Proof of the pudding is in an immunity test and even in our family one member who had Covid but not jabbed has more immunity than another family member who's not had Covid but completely jabbed. They don't tell you thisQ!

Do your our research like everything rather than listening to lying cheating w ankers who accept back handers and do dodgy deals. Had I not done my own research thoroughly about my illness and discussed it with a consultant within the USA and opted for a particular treatment - I could be critical now had I listened to the bull s hit from the NHS like 95% of others.

    research - research - research.

PS - seems very odd that Astrazenica has disappeared now. As anybody asked why? No - just follow the herd bollox

I know loads of people now who won’t get the vaccination and respect their views. One who has had Covid but not jabbed had more immunity through a test than another family member who had been jabbed.

How many under 30’s not jabbed have you heard of who have died who are not obese or have a health condition? Hardly any!! Absolute madness jabbing youngsters in my view!

AstraZeneca- where is it now? Not been used for the booster - why? Someone needs to communicate what the why is?

Everyone who is jabbed still passing on the virus so for anyone to say a overdone not jabbed is selfish is misguided!

The point is being missed yet again.

Having the booster is about trying to avoid flooding the NHS.

This morning they were talking about the number of NHS workers who are themselves getting sick.

Anything between 30,000 and 110,000 NHS workers are going to be off sick by Xmas so who’s going to treat the 90%+ of hospitalised who are unvaccinated know it all’s?

Maybe we should leave the cleaner and the blokes who push the trolleys to treat those people who choose not to get a jab!?

If NHS staff are so stretched then we need to prioritise the sick who have had a jab.

So this is what I’ve learnt and been told by those who do know.
In Summary you don’t need to worry too much about the new Virus unless you have not been jabbed at all, never had any strain of Covid before of you are immunocompromised.

For those who have 1 to 2 jabs if you get it you only have a 30% or less chance you will NOT be symptomatic. In other words you have a 70% chance you will have symptoms and can pass the virus on to others. Most likely you will have mild to moderate symptoms yourself. BUT you should still have a very good T-Cell response from your immune system. T-Cells are like the cavalry of the immune system. Data still shows this to be the case and but means that a small percentage of these people will end up in hospital or worse.

For those with a third dose the picture is different. You then have a 90% chance your initial immune response will work and you will not be symptomatic. For most people you will none the wiser, maybe just a little tired but no symptoms. There will be 30% who will have symptoms and can infect others and again mild symptoms. Again the t-call response will kick in and deal with the virus. A small percentage of this group ( unknown at the moment) will have more severe symptoms and may need hospitalisation. Some data from SA is showing the virus is only as pathogenic as a common cold, that is not surprising as the Omicron has actually mutated with one of the 4 known sars/corona cold variants.

As its been stated, even a small percentage of a lot of people can still be a high number.

Tough call for the government as it’s a lose lose situation they face.
    It’s all about numbers really

Another lock down is plain stupidity as more companies will crash and the country will be in more debt. Surely we should face facts - almost everyone will get it and more people will die. If there's any doubts of nervousness then stay at home. What this virus is doing to our school children and the younger generation is absolutely tragic - getting on to the third lost year! Poor school kids and kids leaving school who can't go on gap years, travel the world etc etc.

I have done all this but feel for the young ones who can't and won't. It's one of life's experiences.
