    At Whitby more or less from the town centre. Other end is Pickering.

    In between you have “ Heartbeat Country” from the TV series with Goathland being the biggest midway stop.

    You can by a day rover type ticket and get on and off as many times as you like. If you go keep an eye on when the last trains are.

    When originally set up by the enthusiasts that run it the line didn’t run fully to Whitby. Now it does.

    Some of the trains are diesel locomotives, so check for the steamers on the time table.

    What suits one person won't suit another.

    We love Whitby, used to go at least 5 times a year for the sea fishing.
    The place has got plenty of character, pubs, restaurants, cafés, Fish and Chip shops are decent.
