He's up but his teammate is going off on a stretcher after a long stoppage.

My satellite box has just escaped a nasty injury, but only because I can't kick straight!

3-3 late equaliser for Wycombe. Patterson saved the initial header from the corner but Jacobsen was first to the rebound. Wycombe have a lot of physical power, especially with Akinfenwa coming on as sub!

What a game that was. He’s going to be a great keeper, unlucky at the end.

Hopefully for us. Sunderland will think he needs a bit of toughening up before he plays regularly for them.

Some good reading on the Sunderland board, fans seem pretty satisfied with his performance overall.

In terms of ability and potential, I see things in Patterson that were evident in Schmeichel when he was with us. The main difference is that Schmeichel was a more confident and expressive personality and sometimes managed to referee the game even at a young age. Patterson was being fouled for the second Wycombe goal today but only protested afterwards, whereas I could imagine Kasper waving his arms about furiously and dramatically exaggerating the foul to get the ref's attention before the ball goes in the net. The Great Dane knew the tricks of the trade early, probably thanks to his Dad!

Started as a neutral, ended up rooting for Sunderland. Their second goal was glorious. Funny old game!

I think Patterson will have done both himself, and his loan with us, no harm. Looked solid and commanded his box well most of the game but you could see why he might not be first choice for them yet, and definitely still needs more experience.

Also glad I got to enjoy some football today and happy I was not watching from the train to Dover...
