This clown show has been a desperately needed distraction for the federal government. They will be hoping to keep it in the headlines over the east coast Omicron peak.

Nobody comes out of this sorry saga with any credit.
Djokovic knew the rules, and tried to get around them on a technicality. The Australian government have kicked him out on a technicality.
The whole thing has been a fiasco, but it would have been even worse if he'd been allowed to play. If Djokovic wants to be part of a global sporting community then he needs to stop behaving like a constituency of one. No man is an island.
