Emerging talent is pushing him & others & quite rightly & other clubs tentative enquiries of him have been rejected I understand, possibly to underpin the safe, sensible planning in allowing said youth policy to finally emerge through.

Already, injury at all levels age groups at Leeds has interrupted careers so Bielsa will play folks available who he trusts - not who WE wish to see, end of. Anyone reading books about Bielsa knows why he does that & how he determines a team selection & why he stays loyal to players & visa-versa & how he uses his mentality doing it all.

Yes, I do worry for certain players & highlight Mental health issues for many reasons & not to spoil the forum hopefully.
My Mum is the toughest person I've ever met mentally - yet she cannot watch my 17 year old brother play football, she gets nervous & feels physically sick every time he plays as a keeper for his home city club & now presently valued as a £65,000 prospect he is learning to live with new pressure in daily training let alone match days focus scenarios.

For Mum her 'feelings' may get even worse as he progresses, hopefully they will not & anybody with a son/brother I could guarantee would NOT like the abusive comment thrown direct the way 'some' do casually to Tyler on a regular basis - 'some' not all may I add with respect - so yes 'opportunity does cost' in many ways around a footballer, Spaldy
Balance is a fine art in how you deliver it & I feel on balance with present club circumstances he's got it about right.
And we signed Rodrigo for £27m and he has a current market value of £13.5m. You can play statistics all day long and slice and dice to suit more or less any argument you like, but the fact (fact) remains that Tyler Roberts is not, and apparently, (given he has been with us since Jan 2018) cannot perform at PL or Championship level with anything like the levels of delivery that could and should be expected of one of the clubs highest earners (having been given a new contract on enhanced terms last season).

Bielsa playing "who he trusts" is all well and good. After all, who are we, the supporters of this great club, to question the god-like status and infallible decision making of our heaven-sent saviour? But when that trust isn't met with a suitable performance, just what is it worth? And would you (or anyone else, apart from HO perhaps) say that Roberts performance has justified the trust that Bielsa put in him, match, after match, after yet more painful match? His (Roberts) continued presence is a bar to other, more gifted and certainly more motivated young players who could, and should be given the same opportunity that Roberts was given and where he has been manifestly proven wanting. LUFC have neither the time, nor quite clearly the money, to afford to carry this player any longer.

Why do you manage to infer an insult to my intelligence when not even responding to someone else - beyond the obvious.

I think we would all rather have someone who is performing to a much higher level than Robert’s but some of us still think Roberts has potential.

I will try continue to play nice but we don’t attack the poster when we disagree with others but simply explain why we disagree - you seem to default to insults or slagging off the poster which I really don’t understand other than if you are stuck in a loop where every thread there is a risk you will turn it to Roberts is rubbish, Rodrigo is rubbish, Llorente is a waste of money, MB is not al that and Orta is the absolute worst.

We all get that and you are perfectly entitled to your opinion but just because someone differs does not make their view less worthy than yours and they certainly don’t deserve to be slagged off.

On some points I agree with you, on some partly but with important nuances in the difference and on others I totally disagree - it would be boring if we agreed on everything and sometimes difference is a good thing. Just sayin’

Fed up of "calming down" when I get f00kwit replies from that c u n t to a post of mine that doesn't "attack" anyone, it just questions and voices an alternative opinion, not "slagging off anyone, but what the f00k, it's one of my posts so naturally it gets that response.

Genuinely got better things to do with my time, like watch the grass grow, paint dry, anything but suffer the drivel that he and his alter ego MT spout and who for reasons that totally escape me, NEVER GET CHALLENGED (maybe they are always right, or maybe folks are just too chicken-**** to take someone who has mental health issues to task now and again, who knows). Don't care, I'm gone and this time for good.

Judging by your oh so eloquent and charming response - yea you clearly do. It seems to frustrate you that people see how refutable much of your repetitive nonsense is.

They do say empty vessels make the most noise - they seem to be right.

But of course views & opinions will differ Spaldy.

Obviously Roberts does not have the same impact as someone like Raph but you cannot blame a international player for not being a world-class one.

Liam Cooper has endured similar criticism & singled out constantly despite playing relatively well as has Forshaw whose been relentlessly slagged off before now.

Phillips also, many fans seemed ready to see the back of him 'before' Bielsa transformed him into a PL international & whilst he remained relatively fit.

Always will be critiques of Bamford, Harrison, James, Firpo, whole squad really ditto - fans, supporters - eh ?

As I've previously stated, if Tyler's performances do not improve in the next couple of seasons being injury free then yes, it is a fair assessment that we may have to move Tyler on as with any player under contract & believe me - he knows that Spaldy.
Had to lol at that totty sorry.2 more years of Roberts give us a break plz. He Cooper Firpo Waste of money James and Rodspudrigo are been slagged off for a reason sorry you can't see that and anyone else for that matter. Others in the team you can forgive as for one reason or another are not played to the preferred position.
We can be forgiven as we are not a rich club hence wasting money on spuds like we have where we maybe spend more wisely and brought in players of the Dallas inc we would be a better team overall.
We are also in a position of a takeover who are known not to be wild with money and are well known for their financing of a team so all is not rosy for the future.
I fathom to say that we may survive this season and the next few but we will be just another Burnley and fight for survival every season. We all know the top few clubs run the premier league and that is where we are at.
PS the only one I have noticed been slagged is Orta the other are just saying that they are not good enough.Ask yourselves from our team who would get the first choice in any of the top clubs I can think of 4 Melsier Phillips Raph and Bamf if he can get his body right but time is not on his side.
Anyway he said she said is still rampant in this forum everyone should take time to refresh and start a new as the team.

    WTF.

Don't be daft - we just disagree mate on matters, no malice or nothing, only verbal sparring.

My reply [40] was actually to Spaldy but I've no probs you joining in & you never gave me a chance to counter your offered opinion on that original response to Spaldy.

Only went out to walk the dogs & came back to WW111

Let's be civil or put another way "If you don't post again then neither will I" which will achieve nuffink !
