You're a competitive Championship team, if you played fast flowing football against the best , you would get absolutely caned every week-as you did last season

Are QPR, Blackburn, Forest and Luton playing Valball and boring their supporters? No and their squads are no better than ours! Answer the question? I am realistic and agree Fulham and Bournemouth have better squads but the others play with confidence for their managers!

Your not getting the point Renno!!!! Was I that bothered spending £200 quid going last night and losing? Not happy but very HAPPY that for the first time in months the football was on the ground and the players despite having ten men gave 100%

You don't go to the cinema to be bored s hitless do you so why should football games be any different. Are QPR, Blackburn, Forest and Luton playing Valball and boring their supporters? No and their squads are no better than ours! Answer the question?
I will answer your question! I dont miss any point. Not really comparing apples with apples is it? I go to the cinema to watch a film I think I'd like - so that is a god awful analogy, with football you watch because it's your team of choosing and go whether good, bad or indifferent, thats being a supporter. There you go again 'and their squads are no better than ours', newsflash!! they are better than yours - its just in your head no-one is better than WBA in this division, because you have a cancer within the squad which unfortunately debilitates anything good around it, you have a divided dressing room and warring factions - the issue? Big wages. When someone earning £4000 a week sees someone earning £40000 a week not giving a crap it has a knock on effect. You should have retained Ismael and let him weedle these players out, but no, you as fans wanted several overgrown children to be pandered to in order to see people who have no loyalty to you 'express themselves' in footballing terms for 15 minutes out of 90, rather than roll there sleeves up !

As I said the bare minimum you should expect is maximum effort for 90 minutes.

Understanding our club is knowing that we haven't fallen below playoff places in the championship since 1999/2000 season. That's 22 years of expecting to be better than the rest in the championship. That's our expectation.

We have parachute payments that give us a huge advantage, so it's not unreasonable to want a decent brand to go with it.

Val may have been a good fit for you, but for us we were falling well below our standard and not scoring any goals. The side isn't the best we've had in this league, but it isn't a mid table side at all. They're capable of better than what Val was dishing up and if he had some flexibility he would have seen that.

Weren’t you in the playoffs though when he was sacked ? Not the best side you’ve had in this league - by your own admission, yet you were in your ‘expectation’ level of the playoffs , so in theory was over performing with what he had? yet he was wanted out?

So it comes back to it wasn’t the ‘West Brom way’.

A prediction now, if you don’t get out of the division , you will be in it for at least 3 seasons.

You can't look at us as 'in the playoffs' when he was sacked as we were a loss away from 9th and losing game after game. We had just lost 2-0 to both Preston and Millwall in our last two games...note the fact that we couldn't score against either side which was a Val special.

I don't really get why you're fighting for the honour of a bloke who left your lot at the drop of a hat. He showed you as little faith as our club showed him.

My point on this though is it’s the wrong decision. If you were in the playoffs , you were in the playoffs !! Nothing to note regarding not scoring against millwall and Preston - you didn’t score last night , so does that mean if you draw a blank in your next game you’ll be sharpening your knives for Bruce? The championship is a league where anyone can beat anyone on their day, it doesn’t have the same levels as the PL

Managers come and go and he’s a good manager who I think has been yet another victim of player and fan power. I think as a club you’ve missed a trick and think it could well backfire .

We drew a blank because we were down to 10 men. One game is not the same as 8 in 12. (I couldn't think of many other managers who would survive their side not scoring in 8 out of 12 games!)

I think he was at his level with Barnsley but not tactically savvy enough to break sides down with a better club in the league. Roy Hodgson is a cracking manager, but you didn't need 3 seasons to find out that he wasn't a good fit for Liverpool. This is the same situation. Even Mowatt's performances have been poor for ages, which tells you it isn't just a bunch of pre madonnas not playing for this autocratic manager.

‘I think he was at his level with Barnsley but not tactically savvy enough to break sides down with a better club in the league’

This says it all for me. False Expectation , delusion and contradiction sprinkled with a hint of patronisation in one sentence

Guardiola needs sacking as he’s 26 points from not qualifying for Europe and he’s spent £1.2bn

Best of luck for the remainder of the season

Absolutely none of that in that sentence, just realism.

But all the best for the season. I hope Val returns to your club, saves you from relegation and gets a key to the town
