Kelly was out of contract if memory serves me right, wouldn't have cost anywhere near what Cole Stockton would have cost.

The question should be is Cole Stockton a Championship striker.
Like I said Kelly is one for the future, Smith is the main man this season assisted by FL and goals through midfield.

Maybe look at signing Stockton at the end of the season.... depending which division we are in.
I’m not sure about one for the future he will be 26yrs old this year for me his futures now, he has never played higher than the Irish league so it’s a big big gamble for him to play Championship football. If Ladapo does go & we do go up then we only have Smith that’s played in the Championships that’s a big ask of Kelly & JJ.

    Plan B....
    Rob Scott Lol.
He's already looking towards next season's recruitment and identifying players that will be required.

Whether we get those player's is a completely different scenario.

Quality costs but that’s what we need to give us a chance in the Championship. If we could get two old school Championships players for our first season back & just stay up I would be happy with that.

Need to try and find another G Hirst on loan but one who can score goals
£7k a week was a serious disappointment and a waste of money.
Need to get that signing bang on this time and if we do we should have a good season
Just 5-6 timely goals and we would have stopped up with ease.

The player from Derby county was also a disappointment, Jozefzoon ???
Get the loan signings correct would be good all-round, five loan signings next season depending which league we are in ??

Kelly signed towards the end of the transfer window, somewhere around the 28th January and Will Grigg unfortunately suffered his hamstring injury against Wimbledon away, 8th or 9th of February, can't remember exact date.
Kelly was signed to supplement what strikers we already had.

I agree about giving JJ more game time and playing him in all the cup competitions and 15 or 20 minutes to develop his career however it all depends how a particular match is panning out as to who he can put on from the bench.

It's no secret PW is considering signing Will Grigg, IF we get back to the Championship.
Doubtful Freddie will be here next season if an offer comes in that's acceptable to TS or a season long loan deal that's suitable to Freddie.
My mistake Casper. I thought we signed Kelly after the injury to grigg

This thread takes me back to my days in Music Hall.
    'Has anybody here seen Kelly?
    K-E-double-L-Y
    Has anybody here seen Kelly?
    Find him if you can!'

They don't write songs like that anymore.

Btw, I lived in Kilnhurst for a couple of years but don't think I know the brickyard pond. There was a big derelict house near the garage next to The Terrace pub and that had a big pond but obviously not the brickyard one.
