Patrick Harvie also wants to shut down all the oil and gas fields in the North Sea and replace them with windmills.
Meanwhile the German Government energy minister has stated that his country must never be dependent on Russian gas ever again and Germany will have to build coal fired electricity generating stations.
Coal fired electricity generating stations must also be built throughout the U.K. to avoid any future possible dependence on Russian Gas.
Meanwhile all the members of OPEC must step up oil production to reduce the price of crude with President Biden giving the go ahead for the US banks to lend money to the fracking industry in the US to get more oil out of the ground.
Countries throughout the free world must ensure that Putin’s Russia suffers economically for many years to come by trying to avoid the need to purchase Russian oil and gas.
Lancashire area seemingly a gold mine lol for fracking.

Would help the Tory levelling up stuff as well and bring thousands of jobs.

Nothing I said was even slightly communist.

The problem here is that you are so right wing you make Priti Patel look like a warm, caring socialist.

In one post you are complaining about energy prices going up,the next you completely ignore the fact that Prince Charles flies the world on a private jet,but complain he is a Climate change hypocrite for drinking whisky.

You blame greta thunberg for energy prices rising despite the fact she doesn't own any energy companies. She is in fact almost completely irrelevant apart from being a visible target for Climate Change deniars.

The group around her who use her and her political sycophants are to blame.

    Climate alarmists all around.

Got my renewal price for electricity. 27ppd is now 50ppd. Definitely something wrong as that charge has nothing to do with generating costs. Gas ppd charge hardly changed so some Green fingers are mucking about with costs.

Can't believe that the SNP exclude the Greens from all meetings except for the two areas that the Greens are responsible for.
I'd exclude the greens from life in general, ***ual deviants commie ****s

Thanks to the members of the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change CO2 emissions have not been counted by the Scottish Government for all the peat cut and burned to make peated scotch whisky during the 29 years from 1990 - 2019 inclusive.
Two years ago I happened to come across an interim report produced by the Scottish Government in December 2019 regarding counting of CO2 emissions from Peatlands throughout Scotland.
The report signed by several Scottish Government ministers including Michael Russell and Roseanna Cunningham the environment minister stated that CO2 emissions from Peatlands would start to be counted by 2022 at the latest.
The report also stated that the annual total amount of CO2 emissions would increase when the CO2 emissions from Peatlands throughout Scotland are counted.
    Too right they will.
In July 2015 I received information that the Maltings in Port Ellen, Isle of Islay were cutting and burning 2,500 tons of Islay Peat annually and this was not enough to keep the fires in the Maltings burning 24/7.
None of these CO2 emissions from the cutting and burning peat were included in the annual CO2 emissions announced annually back then by the Scottish Government.
No doubt thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic this date will be further extended so that the Scottish Government will look better than the rest of the U.K.

Like you I have to use heating oil (kerosene) to heat my house. Since we moved to our house in February 2007 the current price for heating oil has never been above 72p per litre despite the Brent Crude oil price in 2014 beimg the same price or higher than it is just now.
I enclose a price chart from Boiler Juice.com which shows the average heating oil price charged in Scotland throughout the last 4 years. Sadly this is as far back as it goes. https://www.boilerjuice.com/heating-...ices-scotland/
Living on Islay we pay more for our heating oil than people living in Angus due to a lack of competition.
Over ten years ago I carried out voluntary research for my MP at the time regarding the flawed market for the sale of heating oil throughout Scotland. However that is for another post if anyone is interested.

Had a look at some peatland stats. Very interesting and it looks like peated whisky days are numbered unless there is some way of reinstating the peatlands. You would think that the whisky industry would be desperate to rebuild the peatlands to ensure a sustainable supply of this essential ingredient.
